Enjoy the rest of the winter, spring and summer with our current pay and concessions because I feel nothing substantial is going to happen unless they rush into more concessions.
If our Unions had secured a deal say a year ago, we (Fleet) would have been locked in at $26.50 per hour instead of staring at almost $29.50 per hour. On a potential 5 year deal how much money would you guess we would have lost not even factoring in compounding yearly raises and contributions to our 401k?Worldport said:I say around May, no doubt the association's follies of last year cost us (both AMT+FSC) thousands of dollars
If we settled about the time that PS did we at fleet would be at least $5000 richer than we are going to be.That's if we settle by May. So should we wait for July to see what DL is going to get? And so on and so on.......WeAAsles said:If our Unions had secured a deal say a year ago, we (Fleet) would have been locked in at $26.50 per hour instead of staring at almost $29.50 per hour. The FA's asked the company to match the DL rates and were told no, that they already had a contract and will have to wait for UAL to get a deal before their contract language triggers an adjustment.
I`m thinking late summer. The delay rests squarely at the feet of the AFL-CIO. The IAM and TWU were too worried about losing dues. If they truly were interested in their memberships, they would have held a vote and honored that. No, instead this unholy, unelected and unaccountable association was formed against the memberships wishes. Solely to preserve the dues flow into these two "unions".I say around May, no doubt the association's follies of last year cost us (both AMT+FSC) thousands of dollars
where did you see that atskinvalve said:The Committee issued a comprehensive proposal to the Company regarding "Fitness for Duty". What is that?
Article 39 in TWU fsc cba.skinvalve said:Today's update under mech and related. Noted statement regarding Fitness for duty. Nothing I ever heard of, or could not find in the IAM or TWU CBA. Something new? Anyone have any info on what the proposal is about?

There you go again calling people idiots. You know this topic is about twu/iam members. Your neither and yet you butt in and start insulting people.700UW said:Idiots?
Have you ever been in or on a negotiating committee?
I have twice.
You don't start wIth the hardest items as they will take the longest and you won't make progress.
Pay and Scope are the two hardest and longest issues to tackle
Agreed.700UW said:Idiots?
