Could?

They are meeting for three weeks starting next Monday.
3 weeks straight?  Damn.  We were very lucky to meet with the co. (SWA) 3 days per month prior to mediation.  We have had only one session with the mediators and have met more days in a row than the co. ever showed up for in one month for over 3 1/2 years of nego.

I saw that SWA has a TA finally. I heard they had some meetings in California to discuss what action needed to be taken to show displeasure to the company over the lack of a deal. Also heard people were suspended over it and I just thought, what does the mgmt expect after jerking people around that long. I hope this problem doesn't happen at AA. I am thinking it will not, but then again I never thought I'd have a 12 year pay cut either.

I still think by May the latest we(Fleet) should have something and I still think the hubs will vote for the money

The TA you are speaking of was for the ramp group. Yes there were hundreds that were suspended, but they have all been brought back by the co on 1-4-16. Also the union is still moving forward with all members cases for the suspensions.  Some are thinking the suspensions were a tool being used to get the members to sign off on an ugly contract.

A union official at TULE told me the other day that the TWU negotiated $32 per hour for SWA Fleet Service.  Not sure if this is actually true or not but if it is then the TWU has a lot of work to do on our contracts here at AA.

That's not happening. Even with the Delta plus 3%, Fleet will be at $29 and change I believe.

Actually its around $28 + at signing at the end of the contract it will be $32. The big 4 will all be in the same ball park. They used to be way above us in pay and productivity I dont think thats the case anymore either way you notice Parker was smart enough not to put SW in his compensation formula

$27.27 on DOS base rate. Going up to $32.03 on the 5th year, end of contract.

Parker has said AA gets about a Billion Dollars a year in baggage fees.  SWA doesn't charge for bags.  Surely if SW can afford to pay that for FS without baggage fees AA can at least match it.  Seems pretty cut and dry.  Were I a FSC I would be asking the TWU why they can get so much more for SW.  Same union right?

2. How do I calculate my ratification bonus?
In general, it’s your taxable earnings, your regular hours, shift premiums,
overtime pay, vacation pay, sick pay, etc. from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2015.

The TWU negotiated that? Remarkable. We must  have the watered down version, they'd never get language like that included.

They're getting a bonus because their contract expired back in 2011. It's an exchange for not going back and getting full retro for the last 4 years.

Yes it's true.  However, I have heard some small rumblings about how they get paid. Waiting for more info...

well us at aa have been living on watered down contracts so long I can't count the years any more so they better get all groups a big bonus here at aa plus they better do better then whatever plus 3 if not there just taking what the company offered plus benefits they gave up and I want all my vacation back . But I bet there's a catch after all were talking twu . But there the best to your kool aid drinkers
