Just like the CompAAny and the big gov-n-mint wanted. Two weak ### unions on the dole....One bent kneed CompAAny Union and the other a Scab Union....both equally worthless Industrial Unions. No vote by the beleaguered memberships of two airlines, company unionism at it's finest.  One airline fed a steady diet of 30+ years of TWu concessions that broke our backs in 2003, to that even competing airlines in bankruptcy couldn't match the level of TWu give-backs. 
 
The other airline a small bottom dweller for years that had to file bankruptcy twice and has beaten down old employees some of whom should have retired decades ago, but they can't afford it with the IAm Scab Union in control of their pension.
 
This bullshite is NOT going over well here tonight....

Funny how passenger service agents from both airlines got a vote and we had no say what so ever. They knew the passenger service folks at AA wanted to be unionized. They knew M&E did not want the association and the TWU so they stacked the cards again us. The NMB could have forced the union on the AA passenger service agents but they knew they wanted to be unionized. The corruption at the NMB is so obvious. They forced the association on us without a vote from a single union member from either side.

US Airways' merger, the Associations will file representation applications with the National Mediation Board (NMB), a federal agency, which will culminate in three separate elections, one for each of the Mechanic & Related, Fleet Service and Stores classifications. You will vote in the election of the classification in which you work with others from both carriers.

The answer was " following the completion of the Merger..............think about it. Has the merger been completed???????? NO !
When we get a JCBA it will be..........so hold tight. you may still have your vote, but not till JCBA renewal date....in maybe 4-6 yrs...Geezze yous guy !

Not to jump the gun but since the association lied to us about having a vote I can only come to the same conclusion about the iampf wanting to offer us a choice if we want to get in on it. If I am not forced into it I am willing to give up my company match and not give the iampf one penny of my money. We should all go that route. The iampf will go broke in no time. Then what will they do? Default? Reduce benefit pay out? Screw them. I want no part of it.

It's so simple you can't see it. Pax Sev was 1/2 non union. Why wouldn't there be a vote?

And restrictions that are unreasonable. I'm better off not getting into it. No spousal benefits. I will bow out if I get the choice. 105% funded for now. Big deal. It's a multi employer which pays less than a single employer. Wait till it defaults to the pbgc. At 54 I'm too old to get into the game. I'll pass on it and watch my fellow union brothers take the risk. The drive to get amfa at AA will never stop as long as we keep getting screwed over by the TWU and the IAM.

You of all should realize that the unions are your reps...they can do things without consent from you or me. Thats the way it works as " your representative". We give them that authority and rightly so...if they screw us then they get replaced......as of now we deal with it and JCBA...

"...if they screw us they get replaced..."? Really comrade? We all know that is a lie. The industrial unions are set up to be unaccountable. They do as they please and act with impunity. I find it disgusting that twu/iam supporters on here celebrate the slap in the face of democracy. It`s a sad day when an American is denied his birthright of a vote. A right I and many like me have served, fought and sacrificed in order to protect. I`m simply disgusted.

AMFA was not prepared again!!!! To me if an organization wants to represent you and can also benefit from representing you they would make an effort to support the movement. AMFA had plenty of time to continue the drive after the had their arses handed to them by the IBT. Waiting until 30 days left to reignite the drive was idiotic. The IBT came in and sent flyers, knocked on doors, had organizers at the entrances, had organizers in the ranks with IBT shirts on and collected many cards in a short period of time. Say what you want about the conspiracy theory, collusion, or intent of the drive but they had support and got it done.
I've signed cards since 1989 and even signed one for the IBT just to get a vote but how many times do you have to watch Charlie Brown try to kick that football? AMFA International should be very involved and show support for the "Grass Roots" people busting their arses to get them in.
Now we are stuck with this shite sandwich and better get used to the taste. Perhaps extra mustard would help. Very Disappointing
