A: Yes. Following the completion of the American ? US Airways' merger, the Associations will file representation applications with the National Mediation Board (NMB), a federal agency, which will culminate in three separate elections, one for each of the Mechanic & Related, Fleet Service and Stores classifications. You will vote in the election of the classification in which you work with others from both carriers.

The argument could be (and probably will be) made that the merger is not yet complete. After all they are talking about not combining the flight attendants into one group until something like 2017. And, I don't think the merger of the pilots is going to be a walk in the park. But, then you all had the opportunity to force an election by sigining cards for AMFA whether you supported AMFA or not. Sufficient signatures would have forced an election under Federal law.2ndGENAMT said:
