TWU-IAM Association thread

Not one of the only 7 cities that UA IAM allowed
You're not very good at the game of deflect there my friend. So I'll say that your location is either TUL, DFW or CLT. Living in those places I can absolutely understand your (greed) reasons for arguing against.

BTW guess even with your 5536 posts you remain clueless how that chitty UAL deal came into being. Actually I bet you do know but holy moly can't let that reality enter the conversation now can we.

This isn't UA look at the PMUS fleet CBA, top of the line n the industry.

But that doesn't fit your narrative.

Yes is does we are fighting a up hill battle because of the IAM/UA POS

I think I'll take it upon myself to answer for john john.

I work in TUL. I don't support GEO pay because I want more for me. I really don't care about anyone else. I like the money I make and want more. I'm not someone who believes in sharing or what might be fair. Other people's problems are not mine so why should I give a chit. I want every single penny I can possibly get for ME.

It's too bad TWU has shrunk and continues to shrink because "If we don't like it, we could just move to Tulsa."

I'm sure that not everyone thinks that way and there are some that do care and understand? Unfortunately though I do think they're in the minority on that.

Greed greed greed. Nothing else you can call it.

I call BS, the PMUS CBA was negotiated AFTER the UA CBA.

Try again.

I've spoken to many people who argue against it but it never fails to surprise me that those who are against it always live in low COL areas. May I ask once again where you live and work John John?

So is your solution to what I see as an obvious problem to be "Well if they don't like it they can move" or "That's not my problem where they chose to live"

Can you offer up any solution? Or should we just remain with the ideology "Hey look at me living here in Miss-iss-i-ppi, King of the World"  :D

http://www.missourieconomy.org/indicators/cost_of_living/
If the majority of the workers lived in high cost areas then GEO pay would not be an issue, the wages would be set at rates that were suitable to the high cost areas and those who lived in low cost areas would reap the benefit of having a high cost based wage in a low cost area. It becomes an issue when the majority is in a low cost area and knows they are paid above their market rate for their skillset in the area where they live and they use their majority status to leverage down the wages of those in high cost areas below market rate to keep themselves above market rate every time the company says Boo!
