You left out "Sheep, Socialist and paid lackey" And a few others that those trolls like to use as well.Duke787 said:Amen brother
Be careful, unless you say AMFA is the best, you will be considered a sell out, jim little lover and a communist. Don't forget you have to fight management at every step, that's why ord is such a great place to work.

Good post Tim.Tim Nelson said:
One thing we know is that there is a two year bar on any other union, so imo it makes no sense for a mechanic or anyone else to be talking about other unions when we are presently entering negotiations with a new certification.
I've been burned out on this site because of all the BS being said about the Association. Even today, I read about all the conspiracies of how the Association already has a deal. Really, people? Please, let's let the negotiation teams engage with the company and leave conspiracies alone. The Association agreement strengthened the leverage of all Association groups.
regards,
You see, you come on here and call us irrelevant, but you want us to part of the program. That is as good as saying you are riding our coat tails. Perhaps you do understand why many of us want to have a mechanics only union.WeAAsles said:Good post Tim.
Nice to have you back. Don't let them burn you out.
They aren't worth it. They're irrelevant.
You're mistaken. I didn't ask for "YOU" "YOU" DO NOT speak for your entire group because if "YOU" did you would have that mechanics only union. Right?Buck said:You see, you come on here and call us irrelevant, but you want us to part of the program. That is as good as saying you are riding our coat tails. So only you and the pro association ilks are relevant? Is that correct? Only your opinion counts?WeAAsles said:They aren't worth it. They're irrelevant.
Not at all. That comment is only for those same tired posters who come on here and spout the same tired lines over and over, year after year for the same tired agenda that ends up always getting them nowhere. The posters who shout from across the street behind the trees.MetalMover said:So only you and the pro association ilks are relevant? Is that correct? Only your opinion counts?

I'm pretty sure that you knew that's the people I was talking about. And I like your new "M & E specific" thread. I'll enjoy reading it from the sidelines without interrupting because it is specific to your group.
I know you would like more than nothing more than have ALL of us to give the association a chance. Now we have no choice. But you can not expect us to forget the treatment of the past by the TWU. That will never go away. When you get abused by someone, no matter what, you will always be leery of that person. I know you are tired of us mechanics' same old anti-TWU tirade. For us to change our attitudes towards them, they have to change drastically as far as mechanics are concerned. I would like nothing more for them to get us the best contract in the industry and that means WITHOUT further concessions so you could say "I TOLD YOU SO." We have given back enough...ALL of us.WeAAsles said:Not at all. Metal I want to give the Association a chance. I have very high future expectations for it and would like to see the two Unions work even more closely on issues and initiatives that help ALL of us. I don't want to hear that they just got us our JCBA's and said see you when we need to do this again. You guys have a lot of issues on your plate especially when it comes to all of the outsourcing to other countries that the work is not being sufficiently supervised by the FAA. I've watched those programs and they scare the crap out of me for getting on a plane anymore. I wish there was a website where I could put in a tail number and view the Maintenance record on that plane. I see a major catastrophe waiting to happen.MetalMover said:I know you would like more than nothing more than have ALL of us to give the association a chance. Now we have no choice. My biggest concern is the term of the agreement. I don't want anything that would lock us into bottom of the industry like our Pilots and Flight Attendants (when you factor in PS) for five more years. Whatever happened to the two year contracts we used to get? Thats the way to go especially now because our contracts guarantee NOTHING, the carrier always has the option to go C-11, but it does lock us in. The contracts provide guarantees to the company, not to us. There is nothing stopping AA from filing for BK even when they are pulling down $4billion in profits and the clowns on the bench in NYC will pretty much rubber stamp anything , with few exceptions, that the creditors committee approves of.2ndGENAMT said:The company already has a nice little offer for us and it's probably pretty good for some but the association will bargain any real gains away to keep the most Dues flowing!
We never get to see what is offered and bargained away because the international will force all involved to sign letters of confidentiality..
