Hey guys the IAM office must be open 24 hours a day or this DUDE needs serious help. He is posting from midnight till 03:00 in the morning, Lonely at the IAM hall DELL?

You know here is an idea for you DELL and 700, stop worrying so much about the IBT becoming the bargaining unit for mechanics and related, we all know you guys think there is nothing better than to be represented by the IAM! Thousands have witnessed for years the sellouts, the bubba deals, and the favoritism the IAM has shown certain stations over the years not to mention the total failure of the IAM over the past years over the Airbus issue and the bankruptcies!! The mechanics at U East have grown tired of the union they pay to represent them, collecting dues and blaming them for all their mistakes. I know the IAM mentality is we are smarter than you, so you better listen to us, and that is why Dell and 700 tirelessly try and convince everyone from the the Pope to President that IAM good IBT bad we have heard enough. When the time comes to vote, you guys vote for the union that wants to organize scabs, condones doing struck work, led the way in Retro Concessions, hoped everyone forgot about that one huh. I could go on and on, the IAM had it's time, it is now time to give somebody else a chance, ask yourself this if you took your car in to the shop and the mechanic there kept messing it up worse would you keep taking it back, a union is no different and they no longer deserve the hard earned money of U East mechanical and related!! In a related matter starting to see more and more IBT paraphernalia t-shirts, pins, lanyards and the such around CLT!

Never been controlled by the mafia nor been taken over by the government.

Never had pension money taken to build Las Vegas.
Didnt that investment provide a good return?

Let me ask you this, "Would you rather have a union that was once "controlled" by the mafia that got you over $40/hr, possibly because the crooks that run these companies were afraid of waking up with a horses head in their bed or have a union that hops into bed with management?

I think we all concede that these airline are run by crooks so why the hypocrisy? Why is it OK to work for crooks by then reject a union that has proven itself as a good bargaining agent because it was once heavily influenced by other crooks?

The bottom line is the bottom line. Which union gets you better pay rates? The answer is without debate, the IBT. No IAM represented mechanic comes close to what a top paid IBT represented mechanic earns.

The ibt at HP makes like 60 cents more an hour yet all heavy mtc is farmed out, GSE mechs at US make several dollars more then HP GSE and Stock Clerks at US make $4 more an hour then HP.

I would probably agree somewhat about the favoritism toward certain stations and the bubba deals.

In fairness, however, the IAM did fight and win the Airbus outsourcing grievance issue, and the company was able to obtain relief thru BK 2 to nullify the victory.

No union does well in BK and its not a fair comparison as the BK judge's only concern is shareholders, not employees.

Yes We Also Use this Repairmans Program for Hireing & Training Repairmen,As A Means to Promote Our Fellow Employee's After they Go To Mesa Community College & Get there A&P {AMT) cert's. So We Have Promoted our own People.

so after a person gets their A/P they must go through this mickey mouse repairman gig "for training"???this is what you're saying Mick....

funny east of here you get your tickey you are a Mechanic,no restrictions.

the only further training is FAA mandated....

I see this going out the door in a transition agreement.

hard to believe the union of choice would limit and cage their membership this way.

Your superior contract cost how many of your GSE techs thier jobs - That is why I still maintain that with an election, out of the three choice IAM is the worse case result.

Hey Dell look at it this way you and 7 will always be gamefully employed cause driscoll will alway need you to keep his IAM pool clean and 7 as his private Cabana Boy!!

Excellent point!!! I worked at USAIRWAYS for 17 years and have now been employed with UPS for 3. It is night & day, I would put our contract against the IAM's anytime. The worst part idea the IAM sold them out on was......2009 is a long time away........UNBELEIVABLE

Yes Good Post,Another POINT that MR.Delldue,Will Not Admit that UPS NEVER Had Heavy check MX.& His Figure For Mx Tech's are Very incorrect, Last time I Looked at Seniority list @ UPS there Were 1800+ Mechanics'.Another GOOD Point of Refresher is that UPS NEVER HAS LAID OFF WORKERS.
