Boy that is a lame response - we have hubs that open and close all the time. that happens - no union can prevent that. all we have to do is look at your furlough list.

funny though, when its IAM its the biggest issue on the planet.....Boy that is a lame response - we have hubs that open and close all the time. that happens - no union can prevent that. all we have to do is look at your furlough list.
Gotchya...Nyaa nyaa nyaaYou did not catch anything - but I am sure you will keep trying
Nice, Just to let everybody know I am not aloud to comment about how much time DELLDUDE and 700UW (which I believe are one in the same employed at the IAM) are on this board. But it is very funny how they have to pull something out from 2005. Hey 700 and DELL what is your top pay? Close to the bottom of the industry I think, what do you pay for insurance?. Would you like to post your contract against mine here on this board, we could. Why did we (while I was a IAM er) vote twice?. If your IAM is so wonderful what happened to all your IAM utility people?????????You did not catch anything - but I am sure you will keep trying
Ha? You failed to address any of my questions so I will attempt to enlighten you of the again:Delldude and I are not the same person, how many times are you going to obsess over this?
And I dont work for the IAM, why are you fixated on this?
Can't you keep to the topic instead of every post something about dell or myself being the same or working for the IAM?
Let see US has over 2,000 mechs on the east side and we overhaul most of the fleet.
UPS has around 1,400 total in the mtc dept and your overhaul is outsourced.
You can't compare a box moving company to a people moving company, especially since US has been in chapter 11 twice and the scope langauge is still better then any of the ibt contracts in the airlines and cargo haulers.
Compare HP, US, CO and the former WN ibt contract and US still has the better scope language.
You voted twice because the members were scared and went to Siegel, why did the members ratify it the second time?
Because US Airways went to the Judge and had the CBA abrogated and they did not want to manage utility, I heard it right out of Presti and McKeen's mouth at negotiations. Is is hard to understand that the IAM and the US could not reach an agreement as US wanted to eliminate 50% of the Maintenance Dept?
The payscale is not frozen, there are yearly increases.(dont let the facts get in your way)
The insurance is not crap, it is still very good and still cheaper then a lot of companies offer. Duke Power in NC Health Insurance is $400 a month for family coverage.
UPS is not an airline, cant put the contracts side by side as you are comparing apples to oranges, put US against any ibt contract in the business and the scope language is still superior, as US overhauls planes, HP, UP, CO all heavy outsourced.
Is it just me or is 700 starting more and more to sound like a broken parrot recording for the IAM?
"DON'T LET THE FACTS GET IN YOUR WAY"
"IT WAS ABRAGATED IN THE BANKRUPTCY"
"YOU ARE WAY OFF BASE"
"YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT"
To much IAM drible
OK GENIUS, we will start again, I am sorry if I don't answer for a few days I have a life beyond this board!!!You are offbase brown,
US filed bankruptcy before the first vote occured in the 2002 chapter 11 case.
The members voted it down in September and then the members got scared, and Siegel said he would hold his own vote then the International stepped in and said to revote it , and Mantineo retired in 1995, he was not in negotiations in 2002.
Memory problems with dates and people?
I was in negotiations, the company did not want utility, the committee tried to save them, go educate yourself on Section 1113 C, the CBA was abrogated and the company was free to impose anything they wanted, the presented the membership with a final offer and they ratified it.
UPS is not 135, and they outsource heavy at US we do majority of the fleet inhouse.
Admit nothing, you lost, you cant even remember the facts.
To AWA:
The 737s on the east have been returned, there are no more scheduled to be returned, they are the last ones to be painted.
