I'd like to take [AFA] out behind the hanger for some one on one time.
The MidAtlantic flight attendants are handling that one for you, Buddy!

I was based in DCA for 8 years, I got your back, Homey. Great base. Miss the people, not the commute.
i totally agree. rotating reserve would be a great idea. and pit ,your right . i could pick up etb trips. but that's on my days off. i would like to be home with my family on my days off. as would everyone else. why do they need 300 reserves on duty all at once? it just doesen't make sense to me. but then again, what does in this company?
When commuting to PHL the other day I was listening to these old goats talking about how they were able to drop this and that and only had to fly this many hours for the month.
Another thread said PHL reserve was 1989. Is that right?
Obviously, this means they have reduced flying time in PHL. Maybe this will help with all PHLs problems....naaaaah probably not.Yes....September 89'.....supposed to get a little higher in January!

You'd think they would learn by now!
That became a catchphrase on one trip. Every instance of stupidity was greeted with "You'd think..."
The reserves in the bigger bases have more ETB trips available than the smaller bases that they can pick up. Are you saying you can't get an ETB trip to get a higher pay for the month than guarantee?
Let's just get something straight here. The ETB was not put in place to benefit any reserve F/A. It was put in place so that Lineholders can drop trips without being responsible for the time. After all the options were dropped and everyone was expected to fly 85-95 hours, they put the new system in place. That way, lineholders could drop down to 50 hours again. Also, lineholders do not have to touch weekends, if their trips are picked up off the ETB by someone. The sad benefit of all this is that a reserve F/A has to give up their days off in order to get the time they should be getting on their days on. This system was designed to work with Pref. Bid, they were supposed to complement each other, however, our union does not want Pref. Bid, so reserves got stuck with only half of the equation. We are hearing alot about the company wanting to make the ETB trips, pay credit, I'll tell you what, if they do there are going to be alot of lineholders flying 85-95 hours, because no reserve is going to give up their days off for pay credit. So all you lineholders, call your union reps and let them know you are not for this. We reserves thank you.Twice,
Get whatever they want??? Your kidding, right??????
The lineholders touch weekends no matter what if their trip falls on Sat or Sun or BOTH. NO getting around that and no trip improving to get out of it.
Christmas falls on a weekend. So, don't start implying that lineholders are just skating....
