Jerk , US is saving your ass , those with some time aren't that old and have dedicated their careers to this airline.
A**... We are now all in this together ........Just get beck on the bus and take your assigned seat...

I know she's just too clueless to let it go. We have our fair share at aa.and yes we are in it together now.

I saw a Facebook post that said buddy passes do not fly on your seniority even if you are flying with them. True?

At US buddy passes fly S7 when traveling alone but are boarded by employee seniority when traveling w/employee.

I left the company in '05 in the early out. I fell into the age + yrs of service and am a full fledged retiree. What about those that took the early out and received online (only)travel benefits for life. Do they get to keep that benefit?

Good question because a retired friend of mine asked about the same question.

But what are "online (only) travel benefits"?

The days of the TP-37 have been gone longer than '05, if that's what you meant.

I'm not sure what TP-37 is.

Back in '05 US offered and early out for customer service agents(and ramp I think) Lifetime online travel benefits, life insurance for 1 year and $15,000.

They instituted a 65 plan after the early out was announced. It was effective Sept '05.

The AA system works very well. I would be concerned with how the USAir agents handle the new process in the beginning. You may have agents at USAir who do not like the change and intentionally screw things up. I say MAY not that I am accusing. I hope the transition goes well between the old and new process of boarding. Just pay attention to how things are done at the gate until it becomes second natures.
Showed this post to an "AA" (former TWA) rep who reminisced about how legacy AA gate reps/supervisors look into the system and identify former TWA non-revs by their 600xxx employee numbers and either blatantly don't call them or don't clear them even though their names are listed on the screen, or how former TWA non-revs magically drop lower on the priority list after check in. He says he's so tired of the gAAmes that he hasn't flown AA in over 2 years. Not that I am accusing but I hope US doesn't become the new TWA at the new AA.

Two very crude comments. Sorry to see this pop up. :-(  I was hoping we could all get along well. We needed each other and always will so let's make this work.  Am I happy about being bumped down behind a year long employee as a retiree? NO, but nasty comments won't help at all.

I find that story hard to believe (and I'm one of the "nAAtives" who thinks that the former TW employees were not treated fairly in the previous combination).  If you are afraid that something like this will happen to you, then you need to learn how to print out a copy of the standby list; so that you will have a date/time stamp on the hard copy.

If such happens to you then you file a formal complaint with travel services.  For those of you who are currently LCC employees, please remember that AA gate agents are non-union.   Do you really believe that someone would risk losing their job just to spite former TW employees?  Messing with the standby lists is a termination offense for gate agents.

Off an on since the AA-TW combination (and I'm not going to argue with you about whether is was a purchase, a merger, or a ham and cheese sandwich...it was over 10 years ago, that ship has sailed), I have heard stories such as this.  When the teller is asked to provide date, time, flight number, city info or anything approaching facts, the story teller then starts saying "Well, it didn't actually happen to me.  It happened to a friend of my next door neighbor's, dog groomer's, second cousin."

After the US/HP merger was completed we got all new employee numbers. I heard it was so our previous carrier could not be identified.  Perhaps the same will happen this time around.

Maybe they will put the designator AA before or after my employee number.
I wonder if any employee numbers between the two airlines are similar?

Assigning new employee numbers to everyone makes entirely too much sense.  Around the "old" AA using logic or even the words--logic, logical, logically--is considered a Rule 32 violation.  It's the same as talkin' dirty on the job.

I've heard about Doug Parker's groupies but thought they were just a myth. Here is a real dyed in the wool groupie who drinks the US management Kool Aid.
US needed this merger much more than did AA. DL, B6 and WN were closing in on US and its franchise money maker the Northeast.
If one looks at what US is gaining, top tier hubs, worldwide brand recognition, a huge widebody fleet, its clear that this was Airway's last grasp to merge and be around for a while longer.
It make sense to adopt much of AA's non-rev policy just due to the larger number of AA employees compared with US numbers.
I look forward to non-reving with a greater choice of destinations and wish the best to all in the combined workforce.

I am a former TWAer and in the  years I was employed by AA and travel, not once did I experience any mistreatment by anyone when travelling. I was boarded according to the listing.

Sorry buddy! This is set in stone, and your seniority is only good for days off and vacation!
PS Welcome to the new AA
No it isn't! Seniority on the US ramp is not equal across the board. Junior agents are allowed to bid ahead of senior agents, and the iam refuses to do anything about it.

The seniority issue was settled back in the bridge agreement after certification, its been what over 15 years and you are still complaining?

You voted on seniority in your CBA it is what it is.
