like I said before, put together any three or four letter combination of letters and call it a union, the end result would be the same.
I do not advocate or pontificate any union. But seriously, how did you all of this from my quote that contains less than 30 words.

If you can't see yourself doing the same job 10 years later (because unless you want to start your seniority over that is exactly what you will be doing) maybe you should start working on an exit plan.

Yes time is eternal, and no I will not be a cheer leader for the association, But all things considered the association, regardless if we voted for it or not, it the best thing to happen to both memberships.

Did those rules and regs include cutting your wages? Did it include freezing your pension? Did it include the numerous things AA took away during a bankruptcy in which they had billions in the bank and refuses to restore.
I do not recall any off those items being on the application when I signed on the dotted line to "live under their rules and regs".
All those items were added sometime between years 20 and 31 of my employment. Now, in year 32, I am still battling to get back what I and AA agreed upon back in 1983 and some of the very few things that we fought hard for in the years thereafter.

There was no attack intended. I spent 12 years as a Fleet Service Clerk myself until they closed my shop. Me attacking you for that would be pot vs kettle.
 
I have since learned what mistake that was. Had I not gone to school I would have faced unemployment with no marketable job skills, no plan, and no prospects.
 
There is a danger in settling into a static career where your labor is easily replaced. That is all I am saying. If that does not help you then I hope it helps someone else.

Actually they did recommend a NO vote back in 1989. It was the first company offer. Threats of massive layoffs for fleet service if the second offer did not pass. Maintenance got screwed on the second offer. Fleet did better to save jobs. We where just along for the ride. Majority ruled back then.This was before we had separate locals.

I will vote "YES" on a contract that offers money for jobs. My first career of 22 years was a electrician, and I still do consulting work, but this job as a FSC is just that, just a job. It offers good money and flexible hours, unheard of in any other job that is considered a "laborer" position. I do have a sense that you are trying to send a message. But I can assure you that none is needed.

At this point I can't say I disagree with you.
 
However, contracts are meant to be negotiated, not mandated. 
 
I do not consider a UNION that accepts mandates acceptable.

According to Parker, the 4% raise has already been budgeted and since the majority were given their
raises on 1-5-15, would seem like to me our 4% should be retro back to that date. If it were in the budget, then the money
would be accounted for already. Of course in Parker's eyes, that's just money the company is making off the Association.
