AMFAMAN said:Uneducated....ha ha ha. Sorry having a union-busting degree from George Washington School of Union Busting doesn't impress me one bit. :mf_boff: Why don't you get your so-called educated butt on out there and fix those planes, I could use a good laugh. You wouldn't last 5 minutes until you ran back to your,"I'm someone," desk job.
BTW...As I stated before, I can leave and make more money as each job below pays more than I make today and top pay is much more. I rather stay and fix the problems you've created.

I would guess under Oneflyer's pay for performance plan
Would not last 5 minutes on the ramp either!

Oneflyer said:Don't kid yourself, it ain't that hard.
If it was that difficult, then there would be fewer people that could do it and wages would rise. Supply and demand. Uh, that doesn't seem to be working out too well for you.

aafsc said:My invitation still stands to enroll in the walk-a-mile program and come to MIA and work on the ramp. Load a 737 to PAP and then say it ain't that hard. People like you are ignorant and arrogant about the jobs of others.[post="252007"][/post]
Former ModerAAtor said:Yeah? Try 5 minutes in HDQ if you think it is so easy...
I've seen people fold under the pressure just waiting for the elevator. And they don't always work, so sometimes we're forced to take the stairs.
Plus, at HDQ, you can be walked out the door just for having mismatched shoe and belt leather.... No grievances, no board of adjustment...
That kind of pressure can be tough to deal with on a daily basis.
If it weren't for the fact that each day means the opportunity to work on something different, I'd be back out on the ramp in a heartbeat.
On a more serious note, don't forget that a significant number of folks in HDQ started out on the front lines. They didn't leave because they couldn't handle the job -- they just were looking for more of a challenge. Not everyone is content doing the same thing for years at a time.

Oneflyer--
If MIA doesn't suit you, come over to my carrier and we can spend the day loading bags headed for Manila. Good times.
By the way, we also have quite a few guys on the ramp in my station that either already have degrees, or are working to get them.

Your arrogance exceeds your ignorance, bootlicker. Performance plan? Hmmm, well if your in that game here at Arrogant Airlines, it looks like you have not recieved a Christmas bone-us from the man for quite a while now, have you smart guy? How many years have we at AMR watched the red ink flow? (yes, its all them damn unions fault, I'm sure of it). However, we still have the millions to have our name on the AAC and the AA Theatre in New Yawk. Had plenty of cash for the SERP Program Uncle Don was so fond of. Yup, that "Performance plan" worked well for some, did that one pass you by?Oneflyer said:I find it humorous that you continue to mock the idea of pay for performance plan. Considering that everyone that is not in a union is paid based on their performance, you continue to show the incredible ignorance and lack of understanding that continues to contribute to the demise of unions today.

<_< Get over it a.a.! The way your going you just know some old TWA gray-beard will be @#%# on your grave! Or at least you'll think as much, weather true or not! 😛aafsc said:Hackman, you are right. Oneflyer is so intoxicated by the union-hating koolaid that he/she can't think straight. He/she can't see the fact that Carty pi$$ed away billions on more room throughout coach, new aircraft interiors, larger overhead bins, brand new designed seats for our planes, and new interiors. These are items that passengers were unwilling to pay for. Also, we can't forget about Carty's multi-billion dollar expenditure for TWA's assets. All pi$$ poor decisions that have cost AA billions and he got handsomely rewarded. Pay for performance, get real Oneflyer. By the way Oneflyer, I was saying in 1999 that AA could not depend on the high dollar business traveler and that they would one day revolt and no longer pay the high dollar fares. I said that AA needed to start making preparations then for the fare revolt. But your idols could not see it. Imagine that, a lowly ramper could see something that your great Don Carty could not.
