Industrial vs. Craft

Ok so let me get this straight your in an American Airlines forum pushing for AMFA even though it's not even the company you work for & at your company United you had AMFA & kicked them to the curb in favor of the Teamsters WTF
Dude are you on meds ?? Why the hell are you in an AA forum ?? I wouldn't even think about lurking around another Airlines forum that is totally pointless shouldn't you be working your a$$ off at United & in the United Airlines forum to get AMFA back now that you through them out ?? You definitely have to much time on your hands! You have some Issues dude that kind of freaks me out .... Nothing personal,

Seeing as you don't have a dog in this fight your comments have suddenly taken on a lot less meaning to me, you could have made that more clear from the beginning, ok so there really aren't many posters in here & now i'm finding out that several of them don't even work for AA ...... LOL this just gets better & better.

Fighting on another airlines forum to keep those members informed about the true nature of the ibt. Trying to inform them so they don't make the same mistake that we at UAL did.

As you're a self professed sell out, I'm not surprised that trying to help fellow Mechanics regardless of it being another airline, is a concept foreign to you

A splendid example of how to get back to becoming an answer to your own question.

In this post you talk about the ibt election at UAL...

You claim above the reason for the ibt win is irrelevant when in fact its the point in the extreme. You admit you want out as soon as possible with the best wages and pensions, you admit you are not a union person, you admit only doing this because you believe the ibt can win.

You are EXACTLY the type of naive uninformed individual that the ibt preyed upon at UAL with promises of double vesting pensions, and lies about early contract openers.

You obviously don't care what happens after you get yours, you're a sellout and have admitted as much.

Heres hoping a larger group of AA mechanics are a bit more discerning than you, when next you try slinging your ibt cards.

Well i'll agree with everything you said except for the naive part, once again if AMFA is the Panacea the holy Grail for Mechanics then what difference does it make what the Teamsters promised you, hell you had the Holy Grail, the Panacea what could any competing Union offer that could possibly trump that ??? I'm confused , AMFA is all things to Mechanics it has it all Remember ?? United Mechanics turned it down, there are always going to be people who don't like whatever Union is on the property United, Horizon, Northwest etc. are classic Examples of that, you had AMFA & couldn't keep it so stop crying about it & start working your a$$ off at United to get it back, I'm assuming you & other United Mechanics are here because at United there isn't enough interest to bring AMFA back .... Your in the minority at United & AA both, sure hope you don't have a lot of years left being as you hate the Union you just Elected to represent you. B)

No, I think "naive" fits perfectly in your case.

NO I couldn't give a rat's A$$ about United, your AA competition remember, Your Mechanics do make $37 an hour nothing to complain about in my opinion, We at AA would love to make that kind of money, in fact if they offer a contract that just had your pay I would jump on it, you also have more holidays, sick time, job protection, better overtime pay etc. I could go on and on & your complaining .... give me a break, you would really hate working at AA if all those benefits aren't working for you.

You should put an Application in at AA you seem really interested in our business. B)

$37 an hour, and nothing to complain about?

Perhaps you simply lack perspective.....We had a contract that paid MORE than $37 an hour and that was 10+years ago. The supposed power of the ibt couldn't even get us back to where we were then. Unlike you, I'm not interested in settling for less.

Its called raising the bar for your craft....something a sell out like you obviously can't understand.

And just to clue you in, competitor or not, you better widen your gaze, UAL won't hesitate for a moment to try and whipsaw us against what concessions the TWU is gonna drop on you.

To all United Airline Mechanics since your lurking around our forum I figured I would go lurk your forum for a minute to see if I could find out why your here instead of there, what I found was NO threads with Mechanics complaining about the Teamsters & wanting AMFA back so now I know why you guys are here, you can't find enough Mechanics at United that dislike the Teamsters & want AMFA back so you figured you would come to the AA forum & stir our pot ..... I get it , that is useful information, I can use that.

That's right Dude you better be happy with your $37 an hour because with the wages we have United isn't going to like that at all & will be looking to do something about it so If I were you I would concentrate on United & not worry about AA, you don't vote on our contracts, you can't get on the property to collect cards so their is nothing that you can do to help AA.

Nothing you say?

Like I told your predecessor Anomaly, many of us at UAL kept all the info the ibt put out here...fliers, video, etc.

When the time comes rest assured it will be presented to the American mechanics to balance the teamsters misinformation campaign.

We'll both get to see how much that helps

Meanwhile, you are the lone wolf from the cam building, and the lone wolf AA employee Teamster supporter here. So apply your same logic to why you are here, and how much support there really is for the Teamsters in Tulsa.

What does that useful information mean to you?
Card count first and then a ballot, that is what matters....period
Not your twisted and convoluted reasoning.

LOL

Yes and of course everyone knows that no drive can be considered official unless it is broadcast on USAviation forums... LMAO! :-D

oK i Started a thread on the United Airlines forum asking them #1 whether it is true that the United Mechanics hate the Teamsters & want AMFA back & if they would PLEASE take their employee's back to their forum ..... I suspect the answer to both questions will be NO. B)

thread I started is called Teamsters vs AMFA or something like that.

Exactly .... If there was a major card drive going on at United someone would be on your forum talking about it, get use to the Teamsters dude looks like the Majority at United like them & want to keep them, that's good info to get Teamster cards if I really needed to use it, haven't had to say anything yet to get cards, apparently many people at AA don't care what the Teamsters are about & just want to get rid of TWU.
