I'll vouch for grievances being dumped. I had a grievance that in my opinion was 100% valid It was regarding uniform allotment on the West side. Our CBA states that on 1 January of each year we would recieve our allotment. We didn't. No new uniforms or allotments were provided until September, and the new uniforms were not permitted until October 13th. I recieved a letter from NG shortly before he left stating that the Company denied my grievance and the Union felt it would not win at arbitration, so it was dropped.

Curious which cities East of DFW have dedicated US mainline Fleet Service Employees.

I am aware of the obvious (PHL, PIT, CLT, BOS, DCA, etc.) I know most of the Florida cities are US mainline Fleet, too, but what are some of the smaller cities where we still do our ramp work??

Thanks for the help on this one...

IIRC MHT, PVD, BDL, LGA, PIT, CMH, RDU, GSO, MSY, BUF, ORD, EWR those aren't small cities and I am sure I missed some. In FL JAX, MCO, TPA, PBI, MIA, FLL

Now that the good ole boys club is history, how are any grievances that have been filed being handled? Are the grievances truly being handled in a timely manner, or are they being thrown to the wayside like before?

If anyone knows if there is a specific form that is being used to protest the seniority integration list, would you please let me know what form it is? If anyone has protested the seniority list, who did you give the protest too? Was it someone in management, or was it a union official? I keep asking both sides, company and union and no one can give me an answer who is handling the protests. December 18th is just around the corner. I need to find out the proper channels before it is too late. We will all benefit in the case of another merger. If anyone has any answers or can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Really not that difficult of a concept to grasp.
To tell you the truth JOE, the CORPORATE BASTARDS do not respect their own! So what makes you or any of us think they might respect anyone else? The only way to deal with them is to SHOVE it where the sun doesn't shine and twist it sideways!!! Now is time to be prepared to stand together as a solid group backing the new leadership and ourselves with petitions, acts of solidarity and sensationalized safety programs (which fall within guidelines of corporate safety rules designed by the same sphincter muscles that that will cry when the members follow it!!!). SO SAY'S GF

Rogue,

You can only protest your dates if they are wrong. Not the list in general. The majority voted in that way, and that is the way it will be until we merge with another carrier, or traditional negotiations. So if your dates are wrong protest your dates being wrong. Otherwise, we have to deal with it. Sorry, but that is the way it is.

" O " tell me it ain't so? He would have better been satisfied if it was M.B ( u no who u r) instead of a Cacti.

I didn't see the rant the belly warmer posted but it is understandable. Put yourself in the shoes of a person who is going from six figures down to below 40 grand a year..........................
For the first time in the history of the district, agc's were elected to represent the work force, not appointed. Time will pass and the thought of eating lunch and dinner without the membership paying for it will diminish. My only regret is that I didn't make it to JAX. As for the sick policy
, it didn't include the maint dept who is rep. by the IAM so why should it voluntarily apply tu fleet.
Look under General and Miscellaneous of your contract. Company policy not covered at the agreement must be negiotiated. (wording may be different). M&R has this language. We fought absentism from the get go. It started some time in the 80's. <_<

Unfortunately, Boss Canale and his regime didn't fight absentism or much of anything. The New Direction folks aren't going to just sit there and 'ring the bells' like the good altar boys Canale's Klan was.

Also, there is alot of ignorance about civil rights and FMLA. I'm concerned that many members may be getting disciplined when they should be under a qualifying FMLA cause.

At any rate, the new attendance policy, as it relates to DL141 members, appears to violate about a dozen things. IMO, it's also illegally discrimmatory in nature as it goes so far to violate Christians by discrimminating against them by not including other religious holidays, only Christian ones.
This will be addressed through the proper paths.

What about other paid holidays. MLK day is a paid holiday next year. Why is it not included in the list of holidays?
