yes I actually I do agree that it is pretty sad that after 5 yrs and no arbitration hearing schedule yet Im told that my case has an arbitrator assigned to it.  but in all reality of things Josh, I still prefer union over non union   Ive been on both sides of the fence but in the airline industry being a union is a helluva lot better than non union.  which is why its my wish and my wish only to see DL become union      As for my representation I would rather pay for representation    in the yrs ive been at BWI I can honestly say it is well worth paying the dues   my grievance case is just one thing  but I have had to have grievances filed against mgmt. for various reasons..    Why they put bags on the belt loader when it is our job is one good reason why I had a grievance filed against them
 
WT  the former mgr had left ABE to go to BUF  he tried pulling all kinds of crap to the FSA and the union there nailed his arse to the point he quit.

Then why do you defend the IAM to a T against any and all legitimate criticism?  You have a strong affinity with the IAM and must feel an attack on the IAM is an attack on you and your character.

What questions does Kev have?  If they are reasonable questions I will answer them.  Everyone has their own point of view and mine differs from yours and his.  What is so wrong with me visiting LL 1726?  I've also been to 9000 Machinists Place.

No Union is going to be able to protect you completely from the scourge of outsourcing your OH work to other countries. It's been covered on this site a million times.

Unfortunately barring a major catastrophic crash due to shoddy unsupervised maintenance work the outsourcing will more than likely continue? The flying public is reactive rather than proactive.

You can blame your union (ANY) as much as you like but I have seen them try to shine the spotlight on the issue. People just don't seem to care though?
