It's still 10% more than what US Fleet gets!!!

Besides CLT has never been an important station for DL.  No SkyClub, no crew base, no international flying, they fly mostly DCI and MD-88/90, never been a key market for DL.

From a network perspective,  one could make the argument that every city is a "key market."

That aside, it's not about whether or not a place has a Sky Club; w/r/t to these cities, it's about scale.

You actually prefer what we have now? Personally, I think the whole journaling thing & lack of recourse is awful, but YMMV. We may not agree on much, but I sincerely hope you never find yourself on the wrong end of any of that. It's an ugly place to be.

The IAM at US negotiated a new defined benefit plan, thats what they did, what did DL negotiate with its employees after they froze their pension.

DL's non-union employees have NO protections except the laws of the land.

I just love how much you harp on the profit sharing thing because DL employees actually got a month's extra check while AA and US got NOTHING - and DL employees in addition still got bigger pay raises than US workers will get after the first year... and DL's employees are getting close to 10% extra per year between profit sharing and their pay increase.

DL employee gave its employees an employer contribution to the 401K.

talk about health care if you want ... but it is a service/product no different than fuel that a company buys. airlines don't get it any cheaper.

if an airline pays more for health care, their employees will also pay for it somehow.

airlines aren't charities that hand out reduced cost health care. it is part of the total compensation package.

The extra month's pay in profit sharing is far more than any DL employee is paying for their increased share of health care.

DL's employees have real protections that have been proven, not paper that gets shredded and ignored.

Last time I checked some mebers of PMUS gota healthy chunk of the PS. But thats not the topic. Now as for DL ops at BWI they have a large ops but no sky club thing. Their make up area is outsourced but ramp is not that info came from a dl ramper. How is that pretty dam sad dl has 3 large ops whereas the ramp is outsourced
 
Whats even more sadder is the fact a retired former dl employee thinks he speaks for all dl folks and can never admit when he is wrong

I said I speak TO DL employees, each of whom have a single vote.

I admit I am wrong when I am.

ON the subject of representation, I have had the pulse of what DL people want regarding labor relations no matter I have figured it out.



for now, it's time to send another European soccer power back home.

Robbed DCA has been DLs primary airport in the DC area. BWI is anchored by WN and largely handles low yielding traffic compared to DCA or even IAD.

So you are only speaking to like five posters as your own words you said only a few of actual DL employees post here, so in reality, you are wasting your time, lol!

What recourse does a union have when any company files BK..........................NONE!
 
as far as my grievance goes  I know where it stands but let me ask you this..  what would an UN Unionized DL employee do if DL pulled that crap on you?  What recourse do you have?   This is one of the reasons why I personally would love to see a union whether its the IAM or whatever get voted in at DL so that those folks there would have a say in the matters  voting etc etc etc
