IAM Stepping Up campaign

I was going to come back from my World Cup game today to say that the world would be a far better place if all the world would just take the time to see one game a week.

But since all didn't get to go, let me just say that you have your priorities all wrong.

And then I'll say that the only thing the post voting system says here is that there are people in the world who feel the need to seek the praise of others. I am not one of them.

if I have cared about what other people thought, I wouldn't have made a ten year internet career of upsetting the status quo whether it be about speaking out about labor unions on a labor dominated forum or speaking about AA and US on a forum that is dominated by, guess what, AA and US employees.

I say what I say because I believe it is the truth and I could care less if a few - or 1800 - decide they don't want to hear what I say.

the simple fact of the matter is that I don't make completely inaccurate comments such as that a 4% pay raise is better than the 8% profit sharing that DL people got - and that was on top of their pay raise.

The simple fact whether anyone wants to hear it or not is that DL employees have fared far better, don't have enough interest in a union to democratically change the process they have, and the pathetic attempts of the TWU and IAM to try to convince DL people otherwise simply highlights how badly they have done at improving the lot of the people who pay them darn good money to do so.

find something else to do instead of telling other people what they need to do to improve their life and yours might, no will, be a whole lot better.

If DL people want to change their life, they are more than capable of doing it on their own.

you forgot to mention that when youre shown to be wrong  you change it around and or attack people and or their grammar..

So you consider a NON Vote being cast should have remained a NO vote?

What are you from Afghanistan or something?
Where did I say that? I said unions had the rule changed and it, apparently, didn't seem to help them!

Are you from the USSA or something?

A monkey speaks for the majority? A majority at this moment here is a lone solitary voice.
So now you calling people who didn't vote for a union to take money out of their pockets, Monkey's...........how 3rd grade of you!

And he left Delta years ago, and acts like he is the official anti-union spokesman for all of delta employees
Who said I left and who acts like they are the official pro-union spokesman for all of DL's employees.
Hell, at least I work for them!

Take your own advice.

Pick up some cleats & get out there.

What happens when you "DO" have a seat at the table:

"Redrup said the International, as Machinists call their national headquarters, also manipulated the outcome by scheduling the vote for last Friday, Jan. 3, “to minimize the number of senior members who would be there able to vote.”

“I believe the vote was undemocratic. That’s why I decided to run,” said Redrup."

And get ready for this one...............

“A union has a right to terminate an employee who is disloyal,” said Sloan.

WAIT! WTF did that "Union official" just say ?

Maybe union officials need a union.............yeah, that's the ticket!

Jay Cronk was a member of the IAM Reps Association, he worked under a CBA while working in the Transportation Department of the IAM.

Post the whole quote:

Rick Sloan, spokesman for the leadership of the International, said Cronk wasn’t fired for daring to run against Buffenbarger, his boss, but because “He had publicly and repeatedly taken positions in opposition to the elected leadership.”

And now he is just an IAM Member as he is back at his regular job.

Dont let the facts get in your way.

So try again.

"Unions gamed the system and they're pissed it's not working for them."

"GAMED" gives off the implication that something was tampered with to cheat the system. NO the rule was finally made fair as it always should have been. What's the matter, don't care for a level playing field?

Are you from the USSA or something?

No United States Of America. Are you from the USSR comrade?

Have you looked at your avatar lately Caesar? That doesn't look like an Orangutan.

Hell, at least I work for them!

And may I ask in what particular Job Code is your designation?

1. "some" of the highest wages in the industry

Emphasis the word some with a highlight.

2. safest working environment I've ever been in.

OSHA takes good care of that don't they? Thank a Union.

3. I get benies.

And others get Pennies

Next!

Agreed!

700 what does your buddy John Carr think of the DL campaign? Is he putting out the IAM propaganda?

Josh

Good for them for pursuing TWU not IAM. TWU is far from perfect but it's much better than the IAM.
