Boy...am I striking a nerve with you all....I bet you wish I would just go back East Rutherford NJ and go away

To perv.....In no way am even looking at this board for an indication on vote count. This board is smack in the middle of Nelsonville and I don't work there.

To bobdylan...there is no way you know what station I work in...NO WAY...so don't even try to figure it out. And yes EVERYONE I speak to in my station is a YES, call me what you want but I'm not a liar. Furthermore, I've been here 30 years all up and down the Atlantic and got lots of friends and all I've been hearing is YES.

Why....is that making everyone nervous?

If it is true that you are an Educator for the Union I can understand your ties and position. What Is hard to understand is the "whats good for me" position you bring. As a Union educator, I would think your position would be more of a "Solid Foundation for the membership" position. The August T/A was concessionary IMO and this fractures it to a greater extent.
The Company takes advantage of our weaknesses. Throwing a little change to members in need play that card. It is a shame that true Unionists have crossed over.

Wheels,

The Ream 2008 Team has done such a fine job these past years in making our lives a living hell. They sit back making 47 dollars an hour

98,000 a year for what! we never see these clowns. But wait as soon as there jobs are on the line there reaction is holy sh!t we better do

something.

Got news for Ream 2008 .......Its To Late your history in June

Oh and as far as Tim he has a heck of alot of more respect fighting for fleet service than any of the AGC Puppets
Thanks for the kind words. As we get closer to May 8th, mergers will flush themselves out more so it is good we have 3 weeks till the vote. The more time, the better. I have contacted a number of stations and I believe the potential is to get over a 80% no vote this time, as opposed to 65% last time. There are two strong topics that can't be denied:
1. Mergers
2. Mergers

Why on earth would anyone vote Yes to enslave themselves with a bonehead contract for 7 years while they are working alongside the merger partner who is enjoying signifcant wages and benefits? With a merger, the WORST a No vote can do is position you for A INDUSTRY LEADING CONTRACT IN 2009 WITH THE BIGGEST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD.

In theory, if this contract comes in and United buys us then don't expect Canale to have his United boys share their profits with you. It wil be "Tuffa Lucka" for you. Don't screw yourselves like dogs. Don't believe one word your manager or High Paid Union Boss is telling you unless it's about positive space union travel.

Here's what a Yes Vote means in a Merger

There are two major reasons I do not like this proposal. The biggest one is the following:

Year......Current Pay.........Proposed Pay Under T/A...........Dollar Am't Increase...........% Increase
12............$17.52..........................$19.00...................................$1.48............................8.5%
11............$17.52..........................$18.38...................................$0.86............................4.9%
10............$17.52..........................$17.95...................................$0.43............................2.5%
9..............$17.20..........................$17.41...................................$0.21............................1.2%
8..............$16.02..........................$16.22...................................$0.22............................1.4%
7..............$15.11..........................$15.31...................................$0.20............................1.3%
6..............$14.28..........................$14.49...................................$0.21............................1.5%
5..............$14.03..........................$14.23...................................$0.20............................1.4%
4..............$12.01..........................$12.21...................................$0.20............................1.7%
3..............$11.51..........................$11.72...................................$0.21............................1.8%
2..............$10.86..........................$11.06...................................$0.20............................1.8%
1..............$10.06..........................$10.26...................................$0.20............................2.0%

I feel the percentage of increase should have been across the board. The 8.5% at the top is nothing more than a wage bait for the senior
agents. They want us to sell out everyone on the lower tiers for our gain. This is unacceptable to me. The other major problem I have is
with the annual cost of living increase. The cost of living goes up an average of 2 to 4% a year and sometimes more. If the annual raises
do not at least attempt to keep up with inflation then you basically are taking a pay cut yearly. There are other reasons I do not like this
T/A but these are my biggest gripes. My vote will be no.

Hey rockbottom--

I'm origianl Piedmont too, and my one vote counts the same as your one vote. No more, no less. So don't let me get you too worked up. We probably have a lot of the same friends.

Moo, moo, moo

I never get worked up. I just I'm smart enough to go against the mob that is too scared of the big bad company not coming back to the table. Yeah right, they need to merge they can't merge without a labor agreement. I guess you just work in catering and drank a whole bunch of piedmont punch and have never gotten that out of your blood.

Company good union bad, I had a blood transfusion when I was forced to pit in 91'.

Why would any union member vote for a TA that is Below Non Union wages?

Our union for Fathers are turning over in there graves to see Union people thinking about taking Below Non union wages.

Spoke to alot of folks today at work and their all NO's all they had to do is read the TA comparison.

Opened alot of eyes switched yes votes to NO's

Keep the information coming

Amen, my brother, amen.

Folks,

Most of you have gotten back on track. There have so far been 2 suspensions since 4PM today from this thread. I don't know what is so hard to understand about the rules of the board.

It is fine to argue the issues and to dispute information in another post.

It is NOT fine nor will it be tolerated to attack the poster him/herself.

This thread is about your contract, TA and the ramifications of your vote to your future.

IT IS NOT ABOUT TIM NELSON OR ANYONE ELSE.

Now we will raise the stakes. The next personal attack on ANY other poster on this thread will get the thread closed for the entire next cycle.

Let's play nice now.

To those who got back on topic, thank you....

Dude....you figured me out! Man and I thought I was being so surreptitious...jeeze you can't get anything by you smarties!

Jus' don't tell my wife, she'll be looking for all that money I should be making.

perv, roadtrip pit til death, any of our other northern posters,

since uncle Al has basically hidden traditional neg behind what he calls a transition agreement. maybe you guys can explain to the rest of

us HOW traditional neg go . and issues like extending contracts and removing of language and scope . normal in "Just a transistion agreement" or is that not

geared more to traditional neg. if so how looooong does that normally take 4 or 5 visits or what.
you can figure on 4 years in traditional bargaining. Remember, with the upcoming merger, a Yes vote guarantees the best you can do is be stuck with the worst contract in the industry until 2016 [2012 + 4 years] while your counterparts enjoy high wages and benefits and just don't ask them if you can share their profits.

A No vote before the merger guarantees AT WORST that YOU will be in position to negotiate an INDUSTRY LEADING CONTRACT in 2009 with the biggest airline.

Remember this is what a Yes Vote means with a merger

Timmy, where did I miss the all important fact that this TA would go through 2015? YIKES! Please tell me that's not there somewhere honey! Seems to me the TA I am reading goes through Dec 31, 2011.

Darling, one more thing, Didn't Canale negotiate that little United contract everyone seems to like so much?

You threw down the gauntlet. And respectfully, You have a well received reputation as an educator and I might have the opportunity to learn from you some time.
