I am a solid no vote, but I will still go to the IAM informational meetings, if only to reinforce the decision I made.

Amazing, isn't it, that it only took me a few days to seperate the BS this No Direction team is feeding everyone from the truth. I guess your extensive board seniority ( 8 months ) has also affected your eyesight. It's the IAM District Office @ 1-847-640-2222 that will verify that a "Tim Nelson" is not the Local Chair. To your dismay, Mike, my opinion is as relevant as yours, and my vote will count equally also. Thank you

I've been watching your posts for days now and have been quiet on this board for a while, but even though what you say about the CIC may be true, it may not hold up a merger or future company plans but myself and many others in this company see this TA for what it is.......

1.Canale's final last move to stick it up our a**es. truth is he knows he's done in June and blames US Ramp, as he should.....he's been screwing us for years.

2.The companies final attempt to lock us in at the lowest pay and benefits in the industry post merger, we will become the new America West employees stuck at the bottom for years to come while our merger partners ramp employees are paid a much higher wage along with more benefits....

Our friends on the ramp at UA currently make $20.57 per hour and with your time get 6 weeks vacation.......

Now I don't know about you, but I certainly would rather wait a while longer to get what they have if we do merge, than be stuck with this measly TA that gets you nothing at all for the long term.....

If we don't merge, we will be in normal negotiations soon enough and stand a much better chance of getting an agreement with teeth. On top of that Canale and his $100,000.00 cronies will be out. No one, I mean no-one could possibly do any worse then he has for US Fleet Service.

I do understand where your coming from, but you are truly selling yourself very short by voting in this TA.....I mean if we actually were getting something half descent, I could see....but look at it it....very weak...

I will not tell you or anyone else how to vote in this, but what I do ask is that everyone seek out as much information as you can and educate yourselves. This company wants this group surpressed as much as possible....Let's say it makes our dress prettier to whomever we do merge with....That is fact..

Just a question, Canale has been helping you for the past 30 years? Show me what he has done in the past 30 years. Has he gotten us a living wage in the past 30 years. Has he stopped the big cats from taking big bonuses and popping their gold parachutes in the past 30 years? Where's Dave?

I don't know about you but since mister I have been doing this for 30 years, has been helping me my quailty of life has been going down hill. I was better off as a new hire for peidmont then I am now that mister I have 30 years has been helping me.

Years of service doesn’t make him right it just makes him old, and it is time to put him out to pasture.

Are you going to Vote Bush he has been doing this for 8 years?

The problem is that Randy picked up the phone at the district office. You would be better off calling the International. The 800 number is on the web. I find your reply to be suspicious because the Grand lodge would not divulge information nor does it have Member records available to hand out.

That is 6 months I have on this board to your week. I am still but a Baby to this board. A 6'1" 265lb. baby!

The Ream 2008 Team has done such a fine job these past years in making our lives a living hell. They sit back making 47 dollars an hour

To perv.....In no way am even looking at this board for an indication on vote count. This board is smack in the middle of Nelsonville and I don't work there.

To bobdylan...there is no way you know what station I work in...NO WAY...so don't even try to figure it out. And yes EVERYONE I speak to in my station is a YES, call me what you want but I'm not a liar. Furthermore, I've been here 30 years all up and down the Atlantic and got lots of friends and all I've been hearing is YES.

Why....is that making everyone nervous?

I know Ken Thiede who was the previous District Chairman and unless I'm mistaken he said he never put Randy Canale on ANY major airline negotiations team. Before Randy was the District Chairman and inserted himself and made such a fine mess, his 30+ years of 'negotiations experience' was negotiating contracts for fixed base operators and other outfits with a few dozen people. So far he has yet to negotiate anything on US AIRWAYS. He gives us his beautiful sayings, "Live to fight another day", "Knife to my back and gun to my head" "Aloha went bankrupt and the stock is low" as reasons to throw our livelihood and families under the bus. WTF?

Moron....we got morons on our team.

us HOW traditional neg go . and issues like extending contracts and removing of language and scope . normal in "Just a transistion agreement" or is that not

geared more to traditional neg. if so how looooong does that normally take 4 or 5 visits or what.

Is it just me, or has pretty much every page of this thread (until page 10) been about Tims membership status, and the CIC? With all the bickering on these two topics alone, if it keeps up, no one will notice me making the only vote on the TA. Results: No by 100%.

CIC, never worked before, why bother? We have the LPP's. We are all happy.

Article 26. The part time limits are still there. Applys at OEI, so don't worry yourself sick over this one. Just get out that old dusty contract of yours and compare it to your TA. It's all good darlings. We are all happy.

Article 23. We AWA people can still have direct deposit into our 401k's. Just no company match. Just take a peek at that TA. Sweetheart, that means 401K and the pension.

Article 7, 60 day rule is gone. Those poor unfortunates who were furloughed have 6 months to come back after we all vote this in. They lose nothing. Those who are back as HP lose nothing. I can't wait for those bigs guys to come back!

Article 5, again Rat dear, The TA, just in case you didn't read it says 26 swaps per quarter, and local policy may be LESS RESTRICTIVE. This t/a is interesting in that each station will see something different. If there is anything that could stop this from being ratified it is the profit sharing for 2007. Again, I think this deal represents a fair deal to the vast majority of workers and will be approved by a wide margin.
Why the change in heart?

I talked to guys all over the system and all I'm hearing is YES, YES, and YES! The only no's are on this board. Vote yes, let's save those adorable field stations of ours!
