IAM Fleet Service topic (Mini Thread)

My shop steward said that Mark Wingard told him that we lost something in this TA that we could of had but
the discussion on the web he said nixed it. He would not go into detail but I assume that since company kiss a$$es monitor this site they see how easy some of us are. All this talk "I think $19 an hour is a decent wage" and "We've been waiting too long" etc. etc. just shows the company that they dangle just enough that they just might get it thru. Diarrhea mouth just got us screwed.
Just goes to show you that MW takes any excuse Hemenway gives them. Hemenway used the ole 'cant give it to you because of the internet' trick.....and it worked!

Morons.....we got morons on our team.

Thank God for the internet............can you amagine how dark it would be for us all......we would be getting letters every week ...............or maybe we wouldn't get any at all?

If Usairways NC basis it's decisions on internet chatter than they can PM me and lets talk, because I want to be sitting where you're sitting and let you know that were not as stupid or unsolidified as you might think.....

Today, the CLT grievance committee began an informational campaign to educate the Membership on the negative complexities of this Tentative Agreement.

What time and where did this happen? When are they doing another one?

Survey…

The whole argument that this on-line blog has “tipped†our (Fleet Service)… hand or telegraphed our sentiments …is purely… Bull S*** !

If I were ahh bettin’ man, I would surmise, that if anything… this blog has served as a catalyst to convey directly to anyone… Company or Union, that we will accept nothing less than Industry Standard Compensation!

This message has been repeated in this forum over…and …over again…by virtually every Fleet Service member of this thread.

Further… I’m sure that's what our adversaries want us to believe…so that we discontinue our solidarity discussions, in fear that we may be too “transparentâ€â€¦something the IAM must come to accept as a demanded change from them!

Tim,

My 3 contracts on the premises is believable because of everything i've seen to this point with Canale and Dougie. Now let's roll the dice? No thanks. I do respect that you have a passion for trying to keep the members up on issues but I don't see that enough people are dedicated to the hard line that needs to be taken to get better than what has been offered 2 times within 8 months. $20.47 top out 7/2012
Time will tell. If this comes in then we all need to stay together and tight.
But if it gets voted out then the first step forward will be elminating Randy Canale and then transitioning the negotiations team [sometime in July] with Delaney and crew taking up positions. Randy will be gone so I see this happening rather quickly.

Then, IMO, a screening committee will be set up that will go over and prioritize surveys from the members. Randy never wanted to use the solidarity of the masses and didn't even bother setting up the normal and customary screening committees. Randy is the only district chairman that I know that is so arrogant that he never bothered involving a screening committee to prioritize proposals from the masses.

I mean, if this gets voted down, I honestly think that whoever is negotiating NEEDS to survey and involve the memberships 'wants' first. Take your time...do it right so there are no more F*ck ups like these last two bozo contracts.

Well ....it is applicable to Fleet Service…and the IAM… so I see no infringement!

I thought perhaps... Ms. Shocker may have done the artwork!

Uh, no sir!

Tim, I don't think RR is using the West into the East contract as a scare tactic. I think he said he would personally push for it because the West brothers have complained about the lack of fair wages. Afterall, that is what a good leader does, is listen to his membership. The BETTER steward, however, wouldn't subject his people to outsourcing. He said one time that he was going to see about getting our wages the same as the East, although, I'm not too sure if he just wanted to lump West into East, I think he did specifically say to MYSELF that's what he wanted to do. Don't hold me to that.

I have to question why you find he has a lack of sincerity. He was working very hard before he was up for the 100k club, and I think he got into his position by default, don't hold me to that. If it's guilt by association, I understand, but Ron has always tried his best for the West even if he's enthralled to that pig-dog RC.

The problem in PHX is that the senior guys seem to have aligned themselves with the IAM rhetoric. Keep talking. As Joe Dirt has clarified some things for me, more Westies will listen and eventually think twice about the 4 dollar raise.

Your comparison page is a perfect example. Perhaps you should place more emphasis on the holiday and field station reduction if thrown into the East contract. Ill be sure to talk about this as well.

urbf,

read it again . the words prior to OEI render the 60 day rule useless. and YES I am sure we gave up a concession to have wording put in our contract that will not be applicable after the OEI or ratification .

Dearest orioleman,
Silly you! It seems you are still misunderstanding this. OEI is six months after we vote this in. The east guys under the intrim agreement are whole. The guys under the 60 day rule who are back not under the intrim get their senority after we vote it in, first day of first pay period. The guys returning get the senority date they had when they left in the mean time. The 60 day rule is gone as of OEI.

Now starting on the transition date, we only need to worry if a city has less than 14 jets a week, with this. Not that scary east nonsense of 56 a week. It's very easy to understand boys. VOTE YES SAVE JOBS!

Chill...

Perhaps…

Having West Fleet “foldedâ€￾... and thus… integrated into EAST… may actually be a good thing… provided we do not ratify this T/A!

In essence , the COC language the East currently has intact…would be transferable to West in the event of the looming merger.

This scenario would trigger COC for both groups!

I don't know how the west field stations vote,
but we vote about 6 miles away in an impossible to find union hall.

Shame on you Bagfather. You surprise me! With how involved you are on this board, I would think you of all people, would go to your local meetings every month! You should know your way there by now! Don't tell me you are only involved online and not at your local. I'm sure they would be delighted to have you there!

And what of the field stations whose flights drop below a certain point? That seemed to be a conflict of interest here on the forum.

But would they contract those west stations immediately?

And Roa I am in CLT.

There are only two ceatures of value on the face of this earth. Those with a commitment and those who require the commitment of others.

But would they contract those west stations immediately?

And Roa I am in CLT.

Who knows what "they"(LCC) may do !

I feel urbff could probably explain this scenario better… since she is a qualified IAM contractual language expert.

Urbff… please put your education to work, and answer these questions for these dues paying members.
