I.A.M VS I.B.T

Do you need a job we are hiring off the street for A/P techs.
Never mind you need a lic. :mf_boff:
I was told yesterday that the single carrier status will take another 30 to 60 days. More time for "raiding."

700, why isn't the IAM doing the same........providing info to the west mechanics and related??

well then....maybe with 60/90 you can muster 35% in that time frame?
doesn't look too good at the moment.
as time goes on interest drops.....ask AMFA about the U card drive...

About 90 percent of my department turned cards in last week and this week. All non-represented. We want a choice in a situation we had no choice about. We want the IAM and IBT to make a case for our vote.

You are not in the 7,000, how do you even know if your cards will mean anything?

You are correct…But the IAM doesn’t want you to even have that vote.

What are they scared of…?? “We all know the answer to that questionâ€￾ ;)

THE TRUTH...THE CARDS....THE IBT UNION!!!!!

Do the math, 1,100 cards out of 7,000 employees, you are way short on cards, even the ibt knows you don't file with just the minimum 35% as cards will be declared ineligble.

The desperation is showing from you ibters.

You'll get it from the IBT but please, don't count on any info from the IAM. As I have stated before, I have e-mailed directly from the IAM website, requesting information. NO response of any kind.....in weeks. And I don't expect any.

This from another message board on feelings toward the IBT:

"Many of us at CHQ are extremely unhappy with our IBT representation. We feel that the union is not a strong advocate for us aganist company CBA violations. Often, calls and emails to IBT representatives go unanswered and issues go unresolved. Our company is proud of the fact that they have never lost a grevience. Many of us are understandably unhappy about this fact as we attribute this to weak representation by the Union.

For the amount of money that is deducted from our paycheck (substantial by anyones measure), we do not have a Union rep in our Scheduling department to protect our interests. The IBT's stance has always been, "fly the trip/do what the company wants, and grieve it later".

The Union refuses to allow members access to Union financial information, will not post information on pending and "resolved" grievences and does not communicate information to the pilot group in a timely manner.

As for healthcare, the Union recently allowed the company to switch from BCBS to a far inferior product from Great West. This was aganist, and in the face of, strident objections from the pilot group."

oh my goodness...how can we have such blasphemy of the chosen union??

please note the absence of any relevant response is due to an answer time lag as our IBT posters confer and e-mail the local for advice and direction on how to repond.thank you

Oh my goodness.......for sure. :D And whether or not my response is relavent??????

And I am only speaking for myself.......personally, I would rather stay out of any/either union. My point is that requested information has not been provided from one union and for everyone who has the option and is eligible......VOTE!!! Make your own decisions but VOTE......yeah, yeah, yeah........IF there is a vote. ;)

sounds to me like finally facing the reality...

There is no reason for the IAM to provide any info to non-union workers at HP until the NMB makes a ruling on the single carrier status of the ibt files for an election.

It would be a waste of time and resources to operate on "IFs".
