FFS 700!! Why do you want to keep the IAM contract that was born from bankruptcy?? US Airways is NOT in bankruptcy any longer because of the MERGER with America West Airlines.

And yes, stock clerks, etc. were put into the M&R contract a long, long time ago......the LAST CENTURY actually. Times have changed and there should be a realignement. And uderstandably you are worried........if you lose your precious M&R contract, you're status/pay will be diminished. That's it......that's why you're hanging on so tight.

Contracts under the RLA do not expire, they become amendable.

Your ibt contract will be gone no matter what, the IAM/US CBA will be the survivor even if there is an election and the ibt wins.

DW...the ones you allude to actually have presented good responces...however there have been many ill informed pondering queries that show ignorance of material they are trying to purvey...it has been a good experience for all....BTW,if you saw the poll, some 114 people at the time had voted for IBT over IAM...but remember this is quite a paltry showing if AWA has some 850+ members and are trying to portray some type of unionistic superiority.

At this point anything is possible as the NMB will decide and last time I checked they hadn't decided anything yet. I wouldn't be to sure of anything on either side. Let's hope there is a decision soon so we can move on or move out.
