Given the current "known" circumstances, specifically that the merger is about 99% a slam dunk at this point, that the MOU provides for significant pay increases and that "new hires" are going straight to the AB320, why are there still West pilots "bypassing" East jobs?
I guess if you step on your crank long enough with golf shoes, it starts to feel good.

Taking a leave of absence is one thing, but voluntary furlough? The arbitrator might say, "I guess he wasn't all that keen on working in the first place."

Could it be because the DOH Gold Standard union won't even let the recalls have their rightful DOH??

Oh, that only applies if the east can benefit....

Wait a minute. The West Class has been adamant that West pilots going East are NOT recalls. YOU cannot have it both ways.

Also, you have to "show up" to a hearing in order to argue your case.

Sorry, West pilots go to the bottom out East, and (contrary to what has been posted here) the union supported the West pilots using their own seniority among fellow Westies.....but ONLY after due process, including proper notice. That should be fixed now. We don't want any pesky DFRs not following the rules.

Tell you what sport, you can exercise your DOH seniority over here when a JCBA makes it so. We will be working on just that, a DOH list.

You have been working and failing at DOH for 5 years.

More excuses why you want to screw the west pilots. If you believe DOH is DOH no need to qualify it with among west pilots.

Btw when was the "due process" you speak of trying to force DOH on the west?

Hypocrite.

Thanks sport!! Does that mean the AAA list will finally be DOH?? You deny west pilots their DOH....nice for the gold standard only apply to the east.

Gotcha.

Like I said, just because PHX "gets stronger" after the merger is completed (in a few more years), it doesn't mean ANY growth in mainline PHX pilot staffing. Former AMR pilots have an MOU lock on Far East flying and the "history" of Intl feed on the East Coast has been predominantly RJ's. Oh, and the new OneWorld relationship with Japan Airlines smells a lot like their 787's from Tokyo to PHX, is a real possibility. Look at the bright side, you have been clamoring for 190's and it looks like you or your contract RJ pilots are going to get them! Not to mention that Kirby specifically said no growth in PHX pilot staffing is planned.

NIC or nothing, how's that working out for you? So far, DOH is working just fine for me!

seajay
Sure does suck to be in PHX, ashame a few little AFO's ruined it for there whole airline, they have very little support these days and do owe Marty a great deal of money. Next east bid out in a few months more growth.

There is a reason your pilots come over at the bottom. Research it. But don't bother getting back to me,

And you now join my ever growing list of numbnuts I don't personally respond to. Not because I hate you or anything that silly, it’s just you have nothing to offer in the way of discussion. By the way, you are in good company with some other one note wonders here.

You will not put a new hire ahead of a seventeen year pilot, for any reason (hey, I also am a numbnut one note wonder!..but the difference is I am right.)

Greeter

One note wonders, DOH, PHX is going to close, 17 to 1? Where's the 3 to 300??

My point, which flies right over your head is that you DOH isn't a 2 way street, it only goes east. So I get slotted behind some furloughee even though I never spent a day on furlough, bought a good captain seat to the party and I get to get screwed by some guy who was unemployed the day the merger was announced?

We are entrenched in our beliefs, only I believe in honoring agreements and you believe in doing what ever it takes to avoid them.

It's going to be nice looking at the 330 captain bids next year. The east stalling is almost over and the west will have their just rewards. Every west pilot a captain in three years.

There was a "merger" between AWA and AAA? Really, you know I've heard that rumor, but have never personally seen any evidence of that, at least not as of the last equipment bid here in PHL. You sure about that? Could you forward me a copy of the JCBA from that AWA/AAA merger? I sure would appreciate it, it's all so confusing for an old guy like me.

I've also heard that there is going to be a three way merger between the AAA, AWA and AMR pilots. Supposedly, all three pilot groups, which are currently on essentially separate DOH based contracts, have agreed to both a merger and a SLI process, one that the President of US Airways recently characterized as on "automatic" and that management is neutral on, seems it's a matter for the unions involved to deal with and something called the M/B process. I also understand that all involved parties will have an opportunity to "participate" in the process, whatever that means. These merger things can sure get complicated, yes?

Oh please.....stop you're Killing me!

Next year, you are going to be right where you are today. Just ask Kirby, or better yet, take a look at the latest PHX crew news.

However, the M/B process turns out, you can bet there will be very wide and tall equipment fences associated with it FOR EVERYBODY!

"Every west pilot a captain in three years", right, sure, no problem. Be sure and make that the opener, if AOL ever gets to make one. Even a See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil arbitration panel will be rolling on the floor with that "perfectly reasonable" demand!

What a truly sad scene that was. The poor fellow fretfully and almost incoherently stuttering his way through his seniority questions displayed not only an inability to even cleanly deliver complete sentences, but provided the the body language of a timid supplicant, wishing, but not expecting to get his way.

One question stands out as worthy of note, that being if the MOU at the time of POR enacts the nic. Answer = No.

It is kind of politically incorrect to make fun of someone's disability, but,,,

Speaking of sad scenes.....the CLT crew news...future of OCC question....

How many times is that "loosey goosey" moron going to fondle himself playing pocket pool while addressing the CEO? I was tempted to count, but could not quit laughing trying to figure what was going through Parker's mind.

Just because that guy is so overweight he has not seen his member in years, does not mean the rest of us can't see what he is doing.
