Did you know that career expectations can change? I think you are starting to realize that. Cheers!

I will accept that career expectations change. What I will not accept is unscrupulous scumbags trying to force a change in my career to advantage their own. You, sir, are one of those scumbags.

I'm sorry you said that, but I guess you had you heart set on taking the east attrition. You've had a great career to this point, but you want more. I hope you are the no. 1 777 captain by age 45!..... you deserve it!

If you open you eyes you can see that your standalone AWA prospects were not as good as you thought. The AWA story stopped before the great recession, but it's not hard to see how things would have looked.

I can't say your DOH numbers are wrong because I don't know who you are, and I certainly understand why you don't like it anyway, but I have a hard time believing the 22 year right seat. Are those numbers you saw or estimated?

If AWA didn't acquire ScumbagAirways the latter would have liquidated. That would have made the entire industry much healthier and AWA would have done just fine. In addition, it is very likely the merger with Delta would not have failed as it is well known that their pilots wanted nothing to do with the toxic group that is yours.

Regarding my "estimate" just look at where junior west captains would fall on a DOH list and realize, had you gotten you way, we all would have been downgraded with guys in my age bracket unlikely to make captain again from the bottom third of the list.

They wanted him because they worked with him on the Trump merger. They thought they had an advantage over the west in having worked with him previously. In the Trump merger it he weighed age and attrition heavily and that also would have advantaged the east over the west. There is no doubt the east desperately wanted Nicolau.

Oh, so the arbitrator was not the problem. It's the process.

I get it.

You are so utterly clueless and unworthy of further discussion. Looking forward to you having the Nic list jammed firmly up your ass.

You had the fence option and turned it down. Letting all stay on the table was your choice. Lesson learned...a bird in the hand is worth 20 in the bush!

The arbitrator and the process were fine. The problem is scumbags not accepting the result of said process and arbitrator.
But you knew a contract would be required for implementation. You signed the TA. Did you think one would magically appear? The cards were all face up!

Absent the bump in dues, we would all be paying a special assessment for merger expenses anyway. So, what's the difference?

You can't fire someone for refusing to pay assessments but you can get them fired for refusing to pay dues.

The arbitrator and the process were fine. The problem is scumbags not accepting the result of said process and arbitrator.

So his senility came on fairly rapidly and the process of arbitration was final and binding up until the result was released.

It's becoming much clearer now.

If USAPA had 10M, even 20M in the bank, and had to pay it all to 1500 Westies in a fantasy, life changing, revenge fulfilling payout, it would be less than....well, you do the math. Your post does not even make sense.

This is part of your problem as a group. You don't have any sense of long term value, as in seniority. Mine just got me a WB Capt.job, something I would never have gotten with the NIC.

We are basically the same age Dave, but I was hired 15 years before you. You cannot have what I have. Not going to happen.

Greeter

Good for you, Greeter! You got yours. A 1985 hire at a "major airline" that was sure to go out of business in 2005-2006.

All that it cost you was:
  • $10,000,000.00+ of our dues.
  • $3,000,000.00+ of Leonidas' funding & funds used to defend the Cactus 18(24+) in defense of the continued persecution and cheating of the former AWA pilots.
  • The complete inability to EVER take any of you at "your word" ever again.
  • Your integrity.
  • Perhaps a small piece of your Soul.
I don't know how this will finally end. Hearing how you finally got yours at the expense of the AWA pilot group makes it very difficult to entertain a shred of compassion for you and your group.

I guess the courts will hopefully bring this to a conclusion.

I don't think he ever read the transition agreement.
