Jetz, keep us posted. I hope Mr Nicolau is available for you. Your pilots now at United, Prater, Rice, Gillen and Brucia, were major influences on the USAirways, America West list. I am sure USAirways pilots would gladly return the favor and be pilot neutrals for you.

Gillen is a UAL merger rep and Brucia is a CAL merger rep. Gillen was for slotting and Brucia was for longevity in the US, AWA merger. I am sure they will not become hypocrites in the UAL CAL process.

"Seniority List Integration Process Enters Next Phase

The United and Continental Merger Committees have completed the direct negotiation phase of the seniority list integration process and have begun the 40 day Mediation phase. Our first mediation session was this week in Washington DC. If we are unable to reach agreement on an integrated seniority list during mediation, we will begin arbitration on April 15. The hearings will also be in Washington D.C. and will be open to pilots and their families. We will provide you with more details concerning the hearings as we get closer to April 15."

Claxon,

When is incredibly stupid, not stupid? The list is not in effect because we don't have a joint contract yet. We don't have a joint contract because USAPA kept passing the company a list they couldn't accept. Well, that and the embarrassing safety campaign, getting slapped with an injunction, and then parked in the corner. Really, it's that simple.

Bean

You are never getting a joint contract with the eastern div now. The list is a forgone conclusion. You missed the boat. Leonidas and the pay disparity ensured the eastern pilots would never give in. The eastern group carried the war to the point of the AA merge. The death knell sounded for the Nic. That event ensured the east and west would never get the contract that was needed for the Nic.

Oh no, please don't tell me you've joined the, "selling off the west," crowd. The next thing you're going to tell me isn't that you'd cross a strike line to hurt west is it? I'm so disillusioned.

Returning to that whole "Eastern/ Western...I don't work here I'm former NWA" line of BS nastroclaxholesumnardson? I hope they put you on the stand, you'll be hauled away In a straight jacket.

You did not mention the word scab in your latest post, like you normally do. Why do you feel that USAirways pilots should be considered scabs?

Stand? You are delusional. I prefer to refute your preposterous arguments from the comfort of home. Your rage is reaching alarming levels. Make sure you take your meds, and avoid talking about the unachievable, the Nic. Focus on the future, we are all aware you would never have reached the levels you have without the gifts of employment at USAirways, and now American. Count your blessings, and have a good night.

I say you're going to see a court ordered bump and flush for every non nic position awarded after the POR.

When I get home I will open my BS Predictions file on my computer and post some of your previous definitive statements that fell flat. I'm guessing the same for this one and will store it for later this year.

Yeah, I've asked before who would negotiate/represent for the west. That ship sailed a long time ago. Getting angry over the arbitration was/is one thing, attacking the west and failing to represent us was/is a whole other (ugly) thing.

But Bean, your reps vote contrary to the rest of the BPR for reason of "principal" (I talked to one of them). Several West reps have been appointed to committees only to quit later because something didn't go their way. It's difficult to represent people that really deep down don't want representation because of the NIC. I also think some have been attempting to build a case for a lack of representation, but their actions are well documented and will be refuted in court. The exception to my statement above would be the West rep on the NC. He seems to want to make a difference and remains engaged.

They may speak for me, but I can't speak for them. I'm sure they're well aware of their actions being documented and have reasons. My guess is that they don't want to be used as puppets or be involved in a process that is obviously a farse or set-up. As for USAPA failing to represent the west, I can personaly vouch that they don't or at least did not in the past.

I think we on the west side are a very unified group. An example would be the union president election. I, as well as others felt we should support an east moderate or a third lister. When it was decided that was not the plan and the west pilots were put up, we all supported and voted for them. Just my 1 1/2 cents.

I bet Res pulls a Fodase on us pretty soon, he's right on the edge. Nice to hear a lot of westies are joining in the recall of Hummel since his DOH letter came out.

What else was he supposed to say? It's USAPA's merger policy isn't it? Besides, if he hadn't promised to drive the van off the cliff, ya' all would have recalled him in mass.
