Parker made some comments today (reflecting ones he already made to the unions last week) at a JP Morgan function. No luck on a cut and paste, but basically he is "looking at it" but does NOT consider livery to be a big concern by the public.
I also could really not care (as long as the pay is in “green&rdquo but will say the 737 I saw last week in DFW, under overcast skies, looked cheap and dull, not silver.

I agree it definately doesn't look silver. It kinda looks to me like that color of gray that you often see on the 'steel' of things like pull up bars and inversion tables for the home. I was focusing more on the red, white, and blue of the tail, which is what bothered me the most on the internet pictures. That actually looked much better in person than the photos.
Like you, I don't really care, but if I had my druthers, they would just paint 'American' on our current scheme. I wasn't crazy about our scheme when I first saw it, but now I think it is the best looking scheme of any United States airline I can think of.
