Envoy training

I'm sorry to laugh, but... then why did you go to America West? It's by no means senior to work these services or do international at any airline aside from US, just because there is very little of it here and we've become a very little airline.
I know...United didn't hire me. :( . I flew America West as a kid all the time from DEN-PHX, and United. Went to school in AZ, so got hired at HP. United almost bought HP in late 90's. Hopefully it will still happen with US, and I will fly Paris, International!! I don't regret it, I hold a nice schedule. :)

If we can sell tix on T/A at the same rate as the competers and still fill seats whats the problem...only problem is the profit is not filtering down to the front line employees...but hey with the price of oil going to 130.00 by the summer...that's what im worred about... not some fancy service that cost a lot of money...if pax are willing to pay the same cost for US to offer a cheeper product...IMO they are doing something right...we will need the profit to buy gas...all these f/a's on here that want to do all this fancy dog and pony flambout service crap should go work at REAL int'l airlines or high scale resturants...jeez LCC is public transportation not the Ritz...all aboard tix please board em up let's go...

They stated that ONLY 31% of Envoy tickets are actually purchased....the rest are UPGRADES.......

Now, if you people want to start purchasing the service that you feel you are entitled too.......then maybe there will be enough MONEY to give you what you feel you need.

This product was designed to stay!!!! If you put too much and we have a downturn, then services will be cut and you will #### then.... this way the services won't be cut if we hit a financial problem.

You people won't be happy with ANYTHING!!!!

PHL BULL.....I am not refering to you

Unless you have about 25 plus years, you arent' touching Paris my friend.

These old queens are here to stay!!!!

TWICE...even to PAY for that service is crazy compared to the "business" product you'd receive on another airline. So yes you'll still hear complaints. Our service both int'l and domestic are where they are because THAT is where the company wants it.

I meant PAY for the tickets not the service... lol

Thing is...IT WILL NEVER EVER BE WHAT IT ONCE WAS!

The likes of Art, Piney, etc (employees too) need to accept it or move on to another airline.

You are correct I think, however I took a turn around FT and it seems we are not alone in PAX dissatisfaction.

NW seems to be worse than us domestic. Not first hand knowledge, but maybe getting out a bit puts things in a different light.

Those more experienced than I will be happy to correct me.

While NW product in 1st is not great, it is far better than US.

For example, the serve a Hot meal on a 2hour flight (MHT-MSP) in first on their EMB 175.

They have glassware
The snack basket has fresh fruit
all planes execpt the EMB 1770 have closets, but the 170 have hangers
There is NO video equipment on the on the domestic fleet. (I personnaly don't care)
There are 16 seas in 1st 319/320 DC-9 fleet.
They clean the planes

The list could go on, again while not great it is much better than US

So if it will never be what it was, which I agree with, then stop trying to charge the same price for service that no longer exists.

If the ticket costs the same on Continental or US - why in the world would anyone pay for US business class to Europe? Seems like US is just living a pipe dream in thinking they can attract the premium business class customer with the level of service they are delivering.

Sure, there are always a few fools out there willing to pay top price for an inferior product, but I'd bet money that other airlines like United and Continental are selling more than 31% of their Business Class seats.

The comedy of it is we have so little international service to begin with, it would cost very little to equip our puny widebody fleet with up to date seats and spend a little to bring the service on par with other US carriers at the very least.

WCT, if you're based in PHL you will fly to all of those places as a reserve, especially if you're on the junior side. I've worked 15 of the 19 destinations in the last couple years.
