DWH Scam on the horizon

The low AMT / TWA Seniorty is around early 1986, the high TWA seniorty is around 1978. Of course our AA seniorty is 4/10/2001. Low 25% seniorty is close to 7/97 but that doesn't come in to play.
Looks like 70 AMT coming from MCI. I look for few to drop out, I know one that not going. 14 true AA are on top of us TWA'er. Of course all know how I feel about that, LOL I did vote to give AMFA thier seniorty, because it was the right thing to do. And I was a new hire at the time.
<_< ------ OldBubba was referring to the TWA/Ozark buyout. By the way, I did also.

I believe the local has run out of excuses. The last of the recall list of the people not on the property is about to expire.

So, what are you guys' feelings on when AA will take off the street??
I'm asking your "gut feeling" here...when contracts done? or what?

Also, how long can a new hire expect to wait before he has a chance at 2nd shift-getting off mids at DFW?

Just wondering what the opinions are here...

Has Gordo reported yet? Don't count on it. Heard all his ass-kissing and concessions landed him an organizing gig within the TWU.

Yet another APPOINTED international officer position to prop up those who are not able to return to the floor. NOT a good use of our dues money. More AMP cards just got signed. Keep up the good work twu!

GO AMP!

If the TWU would have appointed you, you would have quit.

Wow! Such an insightful and intelligent post from King Ed.

This position should have been an elected position but you know that would never work with the twu because this is how they reward their tools. Gordon bit, chewed and swallowed everything the twu put in front of him.

"Hey guys, be more productive and they'll keep the place open."
"Hey guys, let's look to save the company as much money as possible with these cost saving committees and they'll keep the place open"

Look "boogieman", the company and union, twu and iam, lied to the skilled professionals at TWA. But the membership pays dues to the union NOT the company which makes being lied to by the twu that much more distasteful.

Now tell us all WHY Gordon was given this position?

GO AMP!

I dont know how much title 1 time you have but a AMT with less than 10 years is stuck on Mids the only twi or days you will see is on a CS.....................If you want back in the door as a AMT bid JFK/LGA that will be the quickest.

"Runway"...I'm not even in AA now. I used to wk in TULE as Scheduler, but hated it, left for Boeing Seattle 787 prog. Hate it too...looking to resume my career back(and get back south) at AA or another airline(DL). I was wondering what the timeframe was for a guy to get off mids at DFW. I'm looking to get back home to TUL or at least DFW with AA hopefully.
But thanks for your reply.

At the current rate that people are declining recall and people attrit out it shouldnt be that long, probably by the Spring?

The company is having a hard time filling AMT Line spots. When I was hired we had to have five years experience on Heavy Turbine aircraft as an A&P. Now all thats needed is an A&P.

Are you on recall or looking to hire in as a new hire?

787nightmare sounds like you have alot of hate. Maybe you should look for a different kind of job. Something with out airplanes.

DO you have a number to get an honest answer as to the status of the Presidential Greivance over the 100% outsource of CFM56 engines? I have tried for months and get no answer. I notice you even fail to address this iissue over on the debate thread. You claim you have millions in the bank and trained and qualified grievance handlers but yet the most important grievance within the last year, you and nobody else in the TWU seems to know a dman thing about it.

Well the hell good is a bank account and so-called trained watchdogs if they do absolutely nothing?

Just Sayin....

Single mechanics should take the money offered by military contractors and get out of Dodge.

"paul1"...you have no idea of where I've been or what I've been through the past 22+ yrs. Let me guess...your app was probably filled out on a paper form when you hired on AA right?

It's a hard, tough world out here, and I've been around the block about twice now.
The jobs that are out there, SUCK. And you wouldn't believe the mindless crap at Boeing.
Hence the hunger to return to the airline industry and help my fellow AMTs get real representation.

Or is it, you're scared to death I'm another AMP card signee?? Keep your ignorant thoughts to yourself...
You have no clue about me or my situation...

No I don't know what you have been going through your past 22 years, but you sound like a lot of guys at AA #### #### and if they every do finally leave they are bitching again about trying to get back to AA

what kind of job at AA are you looking for anyway

Bob not really seeing the shortage of A&P in ord from my point of view anyway
