Don'y be sorry there's no mechanic in the ATD leadership. Just enforces our dislike for the TWU as a whole.

You guys had Bobby Gless and you hated him.

It just doesn't seem like it would take too long before you'd all hate the next choice IMO.

In all fairness, did you ever hear Gless say he hated or had no use for fleet service? Can't say the same for the current guy.
 
Here's a novel idea, instead of APPOINTMENTS, why don't they hold elections for these ATD positions and let the candidates go around the system so we could meet them and see what they're about by having them answer some very direct questions?

How do you know you'll never have a say? People in high places occasionally do read these pages. So instead of griping about things, how about advocating for someone and explain why you want him or her there and why they would do a good job?

Peterson is only one of 3 Presidents. What about the other 2? Let's hypothesize here. What if those 3 Presidents were told to chose amongst themselves and all 3 wanted the job? Hmmm.

Don't consider that far fetched. Remember there 9 Fleet Presidents and they were told to chose amongst themselves 6 who would negotiate with the company. Each I'm sure chose themselves but they had to chose 2 others.

Now whether you like it or they're not going to have voting for every job in the TWU. You know that already so that constant conversation is moot. And I'd personally rather have it that way instead of a popularity contest over qualifications or reward for hard work. I know you don't see it that way though.

Hey Weass this time next year  ill be in the TWU, What I dont understand is if you have so many presidents, who sits at the head of the table? Speaking of  the constitution if im a Mechanic and Im not  being represented Im throwing a tea party and going for independence. Hows that car radio of yours? still using a hanger for an antennae?
