Delta Labor Relations thread.

Would it make you happy if I said "yes?"

Our working conditions could stand some serious improvement. You very clearly disagree, and that's fine.

My happiness is irrelevant.

It just seems at times you act like your job is sheer hell.

Is it?

I'll make you a deal that I can guarantee you will refuse. You stay off my thread and I'll stay off your little one here?
Deal?
Yeah. Anger and insecurity issues with you no doubt.

"My thread"

Nice projection.

I doubt that you would ever truly be satisfied even if you got everything you wanted and more. I don't think you know where you want to set your own bar.
Nice F&H talking point there. You might need to look in the mirror. I am guessing that after you lost your election (IIRC) bid you are now taking your frustration out on others?

You and Kev want the same things. You are clearly frustrated with your union suckling wind, and Kev knows that one sucking wind is better than none...unless you have apathetic, beat down, employees.

No he doesn't know that. Read his posts the last few weeks on AA Fleet.

Might give you a wake up call on your last comment.

Mine meaning specifically dealing with my Airline, my workgroup, my union/s, my negotiations and finally my choice.

Not his.

Correct. And thank you.

Would you like to be a member of IAM DL 141?
That is hilarious...as opposed to being part of one of Delta’s hand-picked employee improvement things? As much as I despised the IAM, I would gladly take them over what you have going on at the worst-case scenario (absent no union) with the TWU/IAM combined.

Let me ask KEV again. Would you (Kev) like to be a member of the IAM District 141?

Given their recent track record, not really, but we'll either be in 142 or our own District. If we end up there, then I'll just have work to do.

And Q's right about the ersatz "involvement" teams we have here. Our first elected rep was removed by mgmt. w/o recourse. His replacement was selected by mgmt. w/o any say from us.

Again I'll ask. Who told you that you would necessarily end up in 142? How many ramp agents does 142 represent? Are you positive as a whole that 142 would want to take you on? Wasn't it 141 who was trying to organize you first until their resources were stretched too thin that a 142 rep was assigned to you. And as I remember some of your fellow supporters wanted to dump the entire IAM because a mechanic was assigned to your cause.

How many are you total in numbers at Delta? Do you believe your members would want to be a part of a "mechanic" District? They didn't again seem very happy about that and their voices speak louder than yours. Does the general membership at AA from what you read have any love for those not part of their Class and Craft? Do you think the "members" of DL 142 are going to really feel any different? (Even if you have a few friends in that DL)

Maybe if you get in eventually you will get your own District but at first you will more than likely be assigned to another District at least till you get your first contract. Can you guess (even if you want to kid yourself) what District will probably negotiate that first contract for you?

And actually IMO that District should be the ones to negotiate your first contract anyway. The reason why is they know Fleet contracts better than the District you obviously prefer. You don't have to like their negotiating prowess but that's how I see it.

So how do you react if I'm right?

You see Quags I told you that Kev doesn't want just any old Union or District. He wants "his choice"

They won't be in 142, there are no ramp in it at all.

I wasn't sure if maybe they represented some at least tiny group somewhere? So no rampers whatsoever huh.

And I believe it's been 141 (not 142) that's been trying for the JetBlue ramp.

So again IMO someone has been blowing smoke up Kev's *** telling him "Don't worry about that District man, you're going to stay on our couch till you get up on your feet"

C'mon Kev I know you're smarter than that?
