There you go again.First of all there is not a decertification process under the RLA.
Why do you all keep ignoring that fact?
. . .
I don't know where you are getting this decert information . . .
Ah, but in the practical world, that's different than implying a group of employees who no longer wants union representation under the RLA can't boot a union off the property through some other process besides statutory "decertification" should they so choose, isn't it.The RLA does not contain a section for decertification, unlike the NLRA which does.

You REALLY should check out that Russell case. You might actually learn something and educate yourself.
I can't post a direct link since it is from a subscription service (may the IP gods forgive me -- and the USAviation gods, for taking up so much bandwidth), but I have cut and pasted it below and cleaned up as much as I reasonably can (forgive the awkward placement of the footnotes; I don't feel like cleaning it up THAT much).Bear, post a link to the Russell case as I would like to read it myself.
Thanks
AWA320,,
You my friend are the one that is emotional, I don't work for USAir, I am an outsider, and you are right you have done more for your union, I wouldn't even try to get involved in ALPA, it is so F'ed up to start with.. Yes, the USAir folks gave you many opportunities you would never have had, or else you would have already had it from 24 years of business, huh? Better routes, which in your case means bigger equip., and hopefully more money, everyone has the same info as yourself regarding AWAs financial history, you are not privy to anything special, therefore you look like a fool saying AWA was financially healthy, Usairways may have liquidated but who knows - as you were saying - that didnt happen, as a matter of fact, your mgmt, isnt going to whip anyone into shape, they (mgmt) are being whipped into shape right now b/c they assumed this would be a much easier task. Anyhow, I wish the best for everyone, I know what goes around comes around, so I would assume your insulting everyone, etc., will bite you in the ass ten fold, especially if you have to engage with east coast folks, I would have to say they will definitely whip you into something but not "shape"...

For the record, I was reluctant to post it, and only did so because (1) 700UW refused to believe its existence and (2) AWA320 wanted to read it and I couldn't post a link.Oh for gosh sakes. I've never seen such a huge file posted to make a point. OK, we GET it.
Prechilill,
The US Airways pilots will never accept the Nicolau Award. The Award may stand, but the US Airways pilots have the ability to prevent it from being implemented for about a decade and there is nothing the America West pilots can do about it.
Furthermore, I guarantee you this. I will do everything in my power to right the wrongs of the Nicolau Award until I die and the ALPA PHL and PIT Reps. and I are aligned in this fight.
Regards,
USA320Pilot
There is nothing you can do to change the award and you will be recalled as soon as the pilot group realizes that your newest Go For Broke campaign is doing nothing more than costing them money.
It is somewhat ironic and sad that after your hardline, screw AWA approach backfired the aaa reps seem to have truly gone off the deepend. It will only serve to cost YOU money and cause much more heart ache. Why not think this one threw and be mature.
Despite USA320's illusions of grandeur, he doesn't and never has held an elective ALPA office (or non-elective for that matter). He did "have a proxie" at a MEC meeting or two, but that's it.you will be recalled
