If this actually happens, I just might have to find another avatar.
But for now still being with the TWU everyones head is still neckbolt deep.

C'mon all you fence sitters get those AMFA cards in ASAP. You will also need to resign an AMFA card if you recently signed an authorization card from one of the other "catch all communist collective type unions" as it will have nullified your earlier AMFA card. We need at least 50%: http://www.dcemploym...cedure-changes/

AMFA cards still being signed in the TAESL building, just mopping up the straggler's.
This better happen,.....I hope its not just another pipe dream.
Here you go....Only picture i could find was all the extra dues that it would cost us for the same contract by going with the Teamsters
No, that is the pile of dues we at SWA saved when we booted out the IBT.
I dont read it that way.
Here's why;
How could you ever get to "or more" than three if you need 50% plus 1 and duplicates between two unions cancelled each other? Only one party would be able to get 50% plus one without duplicates. If this were the case then even in a merger there could only be four possible options,;
1. Incumbant Union that has more than half the members from airline A
2. Incumbant Union from airline B that collects enough cards from airline B to get to 50% plus one of total
3. Intervenor Union that collects 50% plus one from combined group
4. No Union

oh don't worry, I have personal reasons to want to see the TWU gone,.....I've signed three maybe four times,....thats my point,.....hurry up and file. Yes I'm being impatient.

YETThat's rich:
"Bankrupt airline union memberships who voted out their original union, lost heavy maintenance to foreign outsourcing.
None have brought it back.

We did it without voting out our original union!!
He makes a valid point. How many docks of heavy airframe overhaul did UA have before AMFA? 30 plus. How many when the IBT took over? One? Two?That's rich:

How many heavy airframe overhaul bases did AS have before AMFA? One in OAK. How many now? None.
TWU at AA? 45 plus counting AFW. How many after BK? 30 plus. Will the dock number go down over time? Yes but so will those being outsourced. If there is a merger, the TWU scope language protects future work as well. That's the beauty of the TWU scope clause.
At UA/CO the IBT has no such language. The new UA/CO management has said they are looking at what works for management, not the union.
