AMFA Drive started in Tulsa ?

So, its your belief with the TWU that you have never made any gains ? The TWU is doing the best that they can in this economic downturn. Outside of AA it is very bleak for the AMT, many claim the wages are so much higher but the employment numbers are so many fewer !
Don? Bobby?
Where are the facts that its bleak outside of your twu bubble?

Nitronutt, I don't know if you realize you are driving the wrong way. If most of the people are going the other way you are either late or facing the wrong way.

Need AMFA cards for the line stations.

We need to get rid of TWU now.

The current unemployment numbers ! If you want to work for $ 12 to $ 15 per hour at a MRO there are plenty jobs. However, if you want to maintain a wage close to your current wage... Its not looking too good. I will tell you there are some but not many !

Maybe you can parlay your United Way and Blood Drive experience into something that pays more?

Spirit AreoSystems and AAR are both paying more that $12-$15 unless of course you are missing some certifications, and aircraft experience. Which means you really were one the "Lucky to have a Job, Brother" employees that will soon be leaving.

Yes that true, no gains. Now you are suggesting that the economic downturn has been 30 years long ?

No wages are not that much higher. According the TWU lawyers in the bankruptcy docket #2726, the average wage is $36+, we are at $27.20 plus $2.50 per license, for a total of $32.20. Then you have to adjust for the OSM which tops out at $22.00. If the company achieves their goal, there will be approx. 888 OSM's. A major note: MRO's pay approximately $24+ , but eventually better benefits, however the hours are long.

Appears that you have some valid points however What are the total number of AMT's making 36.00 as compared to the 9000 AA AMT's ?

How many in the industry get paid over $20 per hour to run United Way Drives, Blood Bank Drives, and obtain Tickets to Sporting Events in exchange for donations of hard earned money from AMT's paychecks?

Not much more ! I would present to you that Spirit has had layoffs at approx a 3 to 1 ratio compared to the TWU. Brother, we all are lucky to have jobs in this day.

Get in touch with reality. Spirit is currently hiring 270, the bus plant is leaving within 6 months and Spirit will move into AirForce Building 3 and then hire an additional 500. Your glass is less than half full because you have no license or skill and you were lucky to have a job brother. I have compassion for most leaving, but you, Good Riddance

These are drives and events done to serve and better our community. Brings pride to the membership, we all need to get involved in helping one another !

Well where shall we draw the line on members lost do you want to include only the BK in the 2000's or should we go back to the fact that the TWU represented the mechanic's at Pan Am and the F/A's at Eastern etc etc etc.

Cat got your tongue Nitronutt I think there were about 9000 AMT's at NWA and I believe about 92% honored the strike and never went back at United 10,000 at one time the Indy base was closed under the IAM I do not know the numbers that lost there job during that time but at the end of BK about 6,000 survied i am doing all this from memory so these are round numbers so tell me how many Mechanic's at Pan Am and how many F/A's where there at Eastern and how many TWA mechanics that have lost there jobs at AA for starters.

Unfortunately sometimes the cost to help those in need can be expensive.

OK the current sitting president has spent more than all the previous presidents combined. So what is your point?

If you want to do good for your community volunteer your time. Do not charge your employer a fee to be a good citizen.
