"As far as my integrity, it is quite intact. "

How can someone who tries to steal another man job and reneges on legally binding agreements claim to have integrity?

Sorry, I should have elaborated. We told the arbitrator to go to hell since his award lacked integrity, and we told ALPA to go to hell since they lacked integrity, and then we did the same with ALPA's Tsar, John Prater.

As far as my integrity, it is quite intact. I took care of my brothers and sisters throughout this episode. Since April 17th the size of the family has increased. So tell me "brother", do we move forward together or not?

And with regard to your post#205. You are disenfranchising yourselves - big difference.

An "ugly" brother from an "ugly" mother does not a family make.

This is the same job I've had since - you guessed it - 1984. So tell me, exactly who's job am I trying to steal.

Nothing in this life is binding except - you guessed it - death and taxes.

Seniority, without longevity, has no integrity.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, "Hey look what US tried to give up (DC Air or whatever the spin-off was) to placate the DOT, or you I just like red airplanes in the desert. You folks out West like to say how SWA handed it to the East in BWI, but you couldn't be farther from the truth. Those AC's and their profits were established, of course the pilots were the only ones who took a pay cut, but they were operated to directly compete with SWA and they did. The planes were full, and the crews loved to fly them. Oh yeah, they were also operating with a profit, but Wolfe had to try and get the bigger prize for himself and his cronies so they were a sacrificial lamb for the United merger. You guys also like to forget about that, United was going to pay $68 dollars per share for the merger. You like to say United backed out because US was so bad, but it was already a done deal, awaiting DOT approval. Why didn't it happen, United didn't like US senority, DOT didn't like the ramifications, or they just didn't like Wolfe, or he didn't bribe them enough. None of us will ever really know. But it would have happened if the DOT had approved.

Either way, it matters not what you or I think.

You're correct on one point = Since you've chosen not to become a member, and have no vote thusly, nor are you even communicating with the Union so as to express your thoughts..."it matters not what you think". Sorry, but you're choosing that road.

"In the end USAPA will fail." I'd say that also comes under the heading of "what you think"......see the above.

One more thing. Looks like the UAL merger is DOA - at least until after the election. I don't see ALPA returning to this property for a long time. Those out west who were waiting for the cavalry better reconsider their strategy.

They can't. Contradictions do not exist. If you believe they do, check your premise and you will find that one of them is wrong.

Yeah, I guess you're right. The arbitrator can do whatever the hell he wants. Which is exactly what he did.

And then - we did exactly what we wanted to do - we told the arbitrator to go to hell, and then we said the same thing to ALPA.

Q.E.D.

Enjoy your assessment, it is coming you know.

"Integrity matters" "INTEGRITY MATTERS" Great slogan...let's examine the truth behind it:

EastUS: "I can't personally imagine myself EVER having the unmitigated gall to look into another's pilot's face, with far more years of flying..and tell him that I "should be the captain"....of course; I don't have your perverse sense of having any "higher ground"=lottery ticket, upon which to "justify" any such obvious BS...and I personally couldn't even then. Your actual mileage seems to vary therein.....within all that "higher ground"

Prechilill: "Ho Ho Ho!, St Nic is coming to town!"
Leonidas: "I want the captain seat...and most of all, I want every single east pilot to pay for it!"

As far back as May 13th, 2007: EastUS: "Wouldn't some slight reconsideration of fences seem even a tiny bit reasonable?" AWA320: "Not at all!! If the arbitrator had thought fences were necessary he would have put them there. He didn't for a reason"... "'AWA320' "Now this group will not deal and we don't have to."

May 13th, 2007. EastUS: "Firstly; you have no possible idea of what the company will do in response to anything...period. There isn't any "good guy/"bad guy" index in any 'headquarters that's used in the decision making process...it's just all about generating income. Management's hardly your big brother that'll step in to take your side just because you think such is right." We subsequently endured much whining and sobbing over even such trivia as the precious Cactus callsign..and the west folks were totally shocked. Later developmental phases included the famous "You won't even get 200 cards!/Send the cards, I DARE you!!"/etc, ad nauseum. The very evening prior to the election gave us such gems as Leo's "I will be laughing tomorrow".

May 13th, 2007. AAA#6: "The AWA pilots owe the East pilots nothing. We don't need to enter into any agreements. That would be completely stupid on our part. Why should we put restrictions on ourselves to satisfy East pilots? A nice thing about the furloughs being stapled is this. They most likely won't take the recall, which means new hires come on board."

Ummm..shall I go on?..If so; I'd be abusing bandwidth to excess. There's PLENTY more, (in fact..WAY too many to even count or total) of those gems available, all clearly denoting the highest aspects of the west's "Righeous Position", and all, naturally...... fully replete with "Integrity" With aknowledged abuse of Robin Williams = "Integrity!!??...Whatta' Concept!!" ;)

It has already slowed my career progression. Just look at the numbers for newhires / recalls and upgrades. Lets see you twist that around into - it was ALL ours to begin with, it wasn't.
Those were based on attrition, you know, the thing the westies dissed when the east presented it. Now, choke on it.

Half right. The west needed the east. The other half, not so much.
Oh please. Do you actually believe your propaganda? Why do you even bother with such nonsense?

Airline Consolidation

"In the case of US Airways and America West, despite their labor troubles, the combination did generate higher revenues and probably saved US Airways from liquidation,"

Ever wonder who Leonidas might be and if he is on the board of Leonidas LLC?
