Hope with this AFA WIN....things will start to turn around.

PS. Haven't seen any Special Bulletins yet.

I can see it now....If all the different Groups keep winning....Management will become the "SORE LOSER" and start threatening LIQUIDATION AGAIN.....

You know like the Spoiled Rich kid that loses at a particular Game !!!!! ;)

I know it is Friday and everyone deserves a day off... Just wondering what is transpiring......Any New News..... :D

VF8 came out... 18 or 25 months with 200 openings. Company is now saying Section 19 of the contract (recall process and passing rights) don't apply to the 500 people affected. It will not go back to the arbitrator for her interpretation. Another day....another drama. But VP Sherry Groff is "very regretful about any feelings of uncertainty this may have caused."

Justwanted  to know where you found this info.....Not on the HUB. Are you sure a about this?????

I think you only forgo severance if your MDA training date overlaps with your severance being paid out. Those that go in May for instance are still due their severance from mainline.
You are correct!!!! That is why I stated that many will pass for the severence NOW. At that point, why not stay out and collect. I am just saying the previous do to the overwhelming "verbal" desires I hear from those who have been gone. I could be wrong. I have been once or twice before... :D

USA330,

You are correct on the severance. However the MAA AFA committeee is still negotiating the severance for the Feb. and March class. What is not agreed to by management, will constitute one of the first grievances filed.

Also, the VF duration is 16 months and 22. Commences Feb. 1. Everything is the same as VF 7 except the durations.

Actually gang... it is 16 months or 22 months. Feb 1, 2004 to May 2005 or Feb 1, 2004 to Dec 2005.

As for the Page 19-2 Section G THAT IS NOT OPEN FOR INTERPRETATION!!!!!!!!!
WHO IS MAKING THESE STUPID DECISIONS FROM CORPORATE INFLIGHT? This is mentioned on the AFA website. Make sure every one of those 200 people know this!!! Pass the word!!

Sherry Groff should be FIRED if it is her. How much can she cost ONE company.

Anyone in the know out there? Can this be grieved? This AGAIN is a blatant disregard to the language.

AFA....once again you have an obligation to protect your members and FIGHT THIS!!!

We are furloughed and have the f....... papers to prove it.

Twice,

AFA is way ahead of the "game". 19.2 must and will be honored even if we have to go to the media and show a blatant disregard AGAIN!
