AA and Labor Negotiations-2020

As a LAA amt I’m curious how the LUS folks feel about the IAMPF? Would you guys rather have 9% 401 contribution or the aip formula that splits it up?
Just an FYI.... was explained in previous posts that the company would have had to pay a penalty to the fund to get out, so they chose to not do that.

No prob Filter. Just like to keep it real for all to compare if they really do have ILC numbers.
We been at 6% above since AMFA came in over 10 years back. Around 03-04 years I believe, maybe a bit later, just say mid 2000's to be safe.

The override was and is the highest of the legacy carriers...I guess that’s what I remembered.

If you go to the TWU-IAM Association website the last update has the workgroup
Highlights except for Fleet, theirs has Final Draft and makes me wonder if they had theirs done months ago and what the other groups had to bargain for and what items were carved up to appease the remaining title groups.

Maybe the Fleet negotiators were just better at putting it on paper. Who knows?

It's only highlights, nothing specific

I have no CONFIDENCE in the twu iam or A$$ to do any better they have never in the past! This deal could have been done 4years ago!

Promises? Industry Leading?
Now that's funny.
I know brother. Just trying to explain to Filter and to keep everything on the up-&-up. At this point, we don't need any misinformation floating around to confuse or divide as it's bad enough already.

Today at work someone mentioned that word is we will have the same payroll system that the IAM has. I believe it's the one they talked about getting paid in a different manner. No more Epays. I also heard that a new sick time policy of issuing a point system for calling in sick was in the new T/A. I know the flight attendants have this in their contract and it created a big problem for the commuters missing flights. We need to see this shiit and not wait until the association gets off their butt to show us. I think it's safe to say the devil is in the language. Hopefully guys will read the proposal and see what's really there. This whole thing stinks big time. Highlights or no highlights this ain't no ILC JCBA by a longshot.

That was a helluva huge topic today when brought up by a number of us employees to our local. We were told repeatedly that a dr note stating employee be out from date to a date supercedes but of course mgmt fails to adhere to it...needless to say it became sorta heated

Yes it will. Company wants everyone on FMLA but i brought up the fact the company dr make it hard by demanding more details even when details have been provided. I have it for my special needs son but to get it my son psychiatrist finally wrote a nasty note n poof got it but geeze the insanity to get company to approve is flat out f..k.d up

It was a hypothetical question. Would the LUS folks rather have our 401plan or your newly negotiated hybrid plan? Not sure why it’s not an option or choice for all of us which plan we want.

Same with medical.

This contract was supposed to bring us all together not kick the can down the road. The next contract will be the same crap all over again.

Same with medical. Why not a choice of plans instead of the ours and theirs deal?

This contract was supposed to bring us all together not kick the can down the road. The next contract will be the same crap all over again. We’ve already wasted years this go round just to piss it all away and punt to the next amendable date. Now we have the same cluster fuk next time around.

I thought these jackasses were going to hit the ground running once the NMB ruled who our bargaining agent was going to be.
What happend,,,they break their legs when the chute opened?

It’s almost like this thing was rushed out the door at the last minute with maybe a side deal that stole our retro pay to cover Samuelson’s big mouth fine.
