And speaking of the pandemic, what the hell is this AA? Below is an article with cramped pack full flight with no SD. Also so many folks with no mask and/or face coverings. When in a tube with recycled air you folks just took a big chance. I would have marched off that flight and told AA to pack sand. AA needs to better control the distancing, and face coverings or everyone will fly someone else who IS following the correct guidelines. Pathetic AA!

I'm not sure what you mean you and I don't have to support anything but in general if your work FOR a union you would be expected to support all union ideology

I know you are probably being sarcastic, but I for one, do not agree that they are happy to continue paying dues to this dysfunctional asso. I think many are just flat out afraid of change, scared to try something new, all aside from being so brainwashed by the asso as well. Good luck to getting your numbers guys. I know things are a bit different now,. but don't let it stop ya all from the final goal in the end.

I hope all airlines would do the same including demanding all passengers as well as flight crews all wear mask or face (mouth and nose) coverings. If I was to get on any aircraft I would also wear gloves as we have no clue who the hell sat in that seat before us and touched everything around that seat.

First of all, none of us work for any union. Yes there are reps, stewards and other union positions, but they too are not suppose to be working for the union, they are in fact suppose to be working for the members NOT the unions. I know some are not use to this as they have been tied to these industrial unions for so long and just don't get it. Time is now for most to start realizing this and make the change for the better and for the members NOT the union or the company.
Secondly; I do not support all that my own union does or it's ideology's. To say that it is expected is just showing how far unattached you guys have become by being represented by these industrial unions. Stop letting the unions control you and the members. Start with getting a C&C union and taking "control" of your union as a whole membership. YOU (the membership) tells them what to do with AMFA, not the other way around...

Think of your union representing you like a lawyer. You pay a lawyer a fee to represent you. If he does not properly represent you or fails to look out for your best interests then you stop paying him and look for a better lawyer. That's what signing a card does. It starts the process of getting rid of the dysfunctional association and putting in place a union that represents your class and craft without the bloated baggage of 12 groups. Remember we lost our retro in title 1 because the association wanted it for all groups paid equally. Company said NO. So instead the signing bonus was created equally for all. Some got more and some got less. If we got full retro from the amendable date or agreed date it would have been noticeably more than the signing bonus. Too bad the association didn't fight in the best interest of title 1 and 2 guys. Instead it just wanted to mix every member regardless of title and job description into one size catch all. Just wait until the company comes back and demands concessions come sometime this year if things keep going south for the industry. The association will again go across the board with a one size catch all concession package. You title 1 and 2 guys want to wait and let the association screw us over or would you rather have your own representation dealing with title 1 and 2 exclusively? Think about that one for a minute.

I believe Al is referring to people that actually do work for a union, such as GC's, VPS's, etc.
