AA and Labor Negotiations-2020

Is that so they save the signing bonus?
Could be. However, do you really see any mechs taking it? On a voluntarily leave (choice by employee) can very easily be denied in Tx. for benefits. Unless they overlook any benefit qualifications during this C-19 outbreak.
I feel AA should be offering all employees the very same offer they made to the PIlots after all an American employee is an American employee. At least Delta is offering all employees the same offer. Yes, it may be at NO pay, but it's no pay for all, at least so far for all, unless the unionized Pilots get a different nego deal. Equal for all employees. Stop with all the division AA!!!

This is just wrong! WHY are they offering the Pilots 55 hours pay or 50 hours pay to stay home on their butts? Even still building sick and vac banks with it. Do the mechs and fleet also build sick and vac.?

Pilots have pay protection language in their CBA because if the planes don't take off, they wouldn't get paid. I believe they pay protection is for 73 hours a month, they were offered 55 hours (you state)

We, FCS and AMT, get paid whether a particular flight takes off or not.

The Early Out with the $22.5K and severance is part of the JCBA, if ratified. (actually, when ratified 🙂)

I may have confused the Early Out pay with the VLTO also being offered by other airlines. If this EO is part of your new contract and is different from the Voluntarily Leave also being offered, then my bad. 2 different things at the same time and I sorry if I did that.

So I did confuse the two offers as the same type?
Thx for correcting me.
You guys EO is the EO offered in the new contract.

It’s actually in the current IAM agreement and the company is just bypassing that language. It also includes severance pay.

With the blessings of the Association I would guess. Them lawsuits are strong tools...

oh well.ground them. no concessions, they always use them for their own personnel gain and we never see anything in return. nope the bailout bucket has a hole in it.

No concessions. Voluntary anyway. If I hear “they’re on the courthouse steps”, they can march their happy ass on up and walk on in

thats the way i see it. the screwed us for 5 of the most profitable years in aviation. dragging their feet and playing games, cuts for jobs never work they do it anyway.

Let the negative whining begin.
The nerve of the company to expect me to take off and not pay me.
It’s everybody’s fault but mine.

Grow up people it’s called LIFE. Shite Happens
Yep, and by looking at your alias, whatever shite happened to you apparently happened early in life.
Maybe you should take your own advice and "Grow up".

That is the drastic failure of your union to negotiate any type of snap back provisions when they negotiated that concessionary deal.

Good job TWU......You Suck!

AA is in a worse position due to mgmt squandering profits on buying back stock of over 13 billions worth. Even the politicians are wanting any bailout to include no more buying back stock. That's aimed at Parker. Any way you look at it the company would have trouble with this virus, but AA looks much worse than the others. It's a wonder the politicians don't ask for Parkers removal .

It’s true AA did buybacks but all the carriers did it as well.
It’s been a common practice over these good years of profits
SW also did it and is just behind AA in how much they spent on buybacks
