I would bet on the delay of implementation as a band-aid. This coupled with an announcement on freezing hiring. It makes no sense to increase costs when they just lost a whole continent for a month...perhaps longer

Layoff announcements are way, way, way too early at this point. They are simply rumor mill misinformation at this point. However, with that said, not saying it will never happen again.
IF it is not in writing, anything can happen folks.

Anyone talking layoffs at this point are acting like Drama Queens. 30 days of flights from Europe canceled is not a major issue to layoff. I can see voluntary leaves. If things continue longterm say four to eight months of European cancellations and Asian cancellations then I would start to be concerned.
