Yes he did, and this is actually why I have decided to give the negotiating committee the benefit of the doubt and realize these will be drawn out for some time. If Parker can publicly make that statement, tip his hand on outsourcing, lie about the match, and who knows what else we HAVEN'T heard, then you know the carrots at the end of those strings are rotten.

Did he specifically state that he would not honor going 3% above now UAL? What part of the town hall did he say that?

To me he didn't jump up and say UA +3% like the other times yet he really didn't say no. Sounded to me it had to be negotiated. I interpreted without prejudice or an ax to grind

I can understand his trepidation. Those wage rates are getting pretty high now. But I do expect a man to honor his word. And he has said in the past Delta or United whoever is higher plus.

UAL had one of the best CBAs going. Klemm and co. turned around and delivered arguably the worst one in our generation ( FFS, What union is okay with unequal pay for equal work?).

No they have one that is brilliant in direct comparison, but is nothing compared to what they had.


Since you like baseball, let's try this: They had the '77 Yankees, 141 got them the '62 Mets, and now they have something "meh" like the Brewers...

You're right Kev. They would have been FAR FAR FAR better off standing firm and let Smisek do whatever he legally could to the Co side.

Which one do you hate more? Klemm and his peeps or maybe those Co people who came in to a wolf pack wearing the flimsy thong the IBT got for them?

And there's only one group that is craft killing in our industry and that's you guys at Delta because you haven't got the deal done and Delta can do what they want at whim. That's craft killing to me.
