Another PSA guy who got DOH and only has a couple years left. He wants his money now and forget about everybody  junior to him. Sounds like a Silverman  clone.

Hey! "I resemble that remark," save for the part about those junior that will be around long after I leave. I'm just one vote, assuming we get a vote, but ain't gonna' sell anyone out at the last minute for a few extra pieces of silver. I consider it wholly ridiculous that anyone's even considering concessions of ANY sort that they'd have to live with for years, with this being a time of record profits. That seems down right crazy to me.

How much has that guy sacrificed to "protect" the junior pilot from the Nicolau Award?

You owe him an apology.

Well, we all know what you've nobly sacrificed to "protect" any of your coworkers of many years, so you certainly aren't owed any apologies...

Well somebody did DAN EVERETTS!, The top 500, The AMERICA WEST PILOTS and then  the rest were slotted, well below their attrition contribution, but then again you know that , your mouth piece of the WEST is growing  as tiresome as MV , DB , and DUI DOUGS failed promises to the native americans! See you in MIA DAN!

Give it a rest, Leonidas lied to you, we we're ever getting the Nic.
Yes, the Nic is dead and buried. APA legal made that abundantly clear as well. Leonidas and the 675 dollar ties are a symbol of defeat.

I've always wondered just how and from what part of Fantasyland the west people were able to gin up the perverse delusion that the APA would eagerly support the nic....

Everybody was all in with the notion American pilots would go out of their way to make sure younger pilots from america west were willingly placed ahead of older AA pilots with hire dates way earlier.
It made complete sense.

Mitch Vaselino Vasin continues his Nic sell job to the startled American pilots. Surely they will come over to the belief the Nicolau doctrine makes sense for them. Mitch calls himself a lawyer. Others know the fact you attended law school does not make you a lawyer.
Case in point: Marty Harper

There is a bid closing dec1. What will they be basing my bid on?

That's right, my DOH....

So, if I don't have my DOH, then what is it?

This guy is clueless, we have DOH here and have had it for quite a while. It's working very nice, to bad the westies did not want to join in, there loss big time!

They are in debt big time to Marty.

History "correction":  Cleary tried to reason with Ferguson to see if any middle ground could be found and the answer was absolutely not from Ferguson.  Nic or nothing.  Cleary knew it but just wanted to make the offer.  Secondly, Cleary wasn't part of the second BK.  I do not know where he stood on termination or not, I do not believe he was even a committee member at the time although he could have been on the merger committee then.

Fast forward to now and I think using the "strong arm" tactics being advocated by some is doomed to failure and another injunction if it gets that far.  Not scared or afraid, just a reality check.

Never fear, if we go the strong arm route Glass will crack a few whips and have enough lemmings peal off, form new ranks, and head for the cliffs.

Looks like there is 20 upgrades for the West next month.  Will the new hires get to bid over the top of the already hired West f/o's since seniority doesn't matter to them??

Aw Heck...Why not? I'd have to think by west "standards" and nic "logic" that any 190 Capt should certainly be able to bid over all their FO's at the very least, I mean, given that it's supposed to be all about slotting and purely "relative" notions, and it naturally goes without saying that DOH should play NO part ever....Right? Why not new hires as well? After all, the west was all for placing theirs above other people who'd already worked 16+ years. Perhaps they should now practice what they so "righteously" preached...? ;)

Most of the Spartans so adamant about the Nic are Trans States or Mesa 2004 hires. They have been leashed up by USAPA.
A 13 month hire East 190 captain should be allowed to take those PHX upgrades.
It is exactly what they advocated all these years.

I was immediately hit with an image of Chip holding aloft the White "Battle" Flag and rallying the "troops" at cliff's edge. After offering all present a few more inspiring, brilliant thoughts on future company stock values, the order to charge off the cliffs is given: "Follow me men! Trust me! We can't possibly ever get any better deal than this!..It's all for the BEeeeeeessst!"----SPLAT! ;)

Eric Ferguson, 2004 america west hire has led the entire west group into financial distress.
Ferguson has stripped millions from the families of west pilots and given it to a half baked so called lawyer named Marty Harper.
2004 hire date Ferguson is now so reviled by west pilots, he must check in at his gate, avoiding facing angry america west pilots in the crew room.
Meanwhile, east pilots by the hundreds have upgraded to captain, many on the 330. Ferguson was offered the Nic with a time of expiration that would have ended by now. 2004 hire Ferguson said no. His leadership is flawed, and failed.
