So Kirby gave the APA something without giving them anything
All the while stalling the negotiations

Exactly,..for which everyone now should, for some supposed reason, instantly and unquestionably trust them...? I think not.

"Today’s proposal omits a request to add five seats to the 76-seat jets as a sign of good faith to demonstrate the trust we want to build." Sounds nice, but let none forget that the very same management long-ago observed that getting a combined east-west contract was "The right thing to do", yet happily played the divided group against each other for as many years as was possible...and none likely need reminding of the literally hundreds of grievences that had to be filed against abuse of even existing contracts.

... No word yet on grievance about paying East reserve pilots for working extra days. Devil in the details, but the Kirby letter did attempt to strike a positive tone... Allegedly trying to build trust..

"Allegedly trying to build trust.." Yep, with the operative word being "Allegedly". "So today we take an important step to jumpstart the trust-building process." Indeed. After all; in what better way could they have proved themselves trustworthy than by hiring Glass? ;)

What a bunch of BS, will the APA kids fall for this?

Scott Kirby's Letter to APA BOD: November 11, 2014

To: APA Board of Directors

, in an effort to build much needed trust into our labor-management relations at the new American.

But we want to change that perception and the entire leadership team at AA is working very hard to do so.

Trust is vital to our ability to move forward and build the greatest airline in the world – together. .... we believe that establishing trust with our employees is even more important. ..... It is my hope that as we build a stronger, more trusting relationship...

So today we take an important step to jumpstart the trust-building process. We would ask each of you move forward in a similar spirit.

"We picked this song...because we're trying to build the best airline ever....please keep your expectations extremely low..."

The JCBA better be very close to Delta in all aspects including profit sharing or send it back, we already gave enough the last 10 years to keep this place going.

You want to build trust, how about giving the east reserves the same number of days off as AA and the west. I just can't seem to forget about the past 9 years.

American  and APA are not going to make you whole for the time you chose to stay on LOA 93.

Is there anyone walking this planet you don't consider a kid?

Good one..................

"So, in one letter, words and only words, these guys want us to forget everything they did, and/or did not do. They stole , got what they needed, and now want to be trusted. He makes up a thing he wants and then says he is such a nice guy, he will not ask us to consider his 5 seats. News flash, the bully just took your lunch out of your hands, then said here, I am so nice I will let you have it,.....It was yours in the first place! These guys are a collection of shady individuals. Narcissistic sociopaths now run the biggest airline, this cannot be a good thing in the short or long run"
