Updated Leonidas Contributors List
Original Cactus Pilots
Today we updated the Cactus Pilot Contributors list consolidating the Gold/Titanium/Platinum List and The Push for Justice List into one. http://www.cactuspilotcontributors.com/
West Pilots are as committed as ever to finishing strong. We would like to encourage every pilot to sign up for Push for Justice. With solid participation from the majority of our pilots we will be able to fund an effective campaign to protect West seniority while holding USAPA accountable. If you are on the list, thank you, now encourage your fellow West pilots to join you on the list.
Our previous update emphasized the importance of being prepared to file suit against remaining USAPA officers should they withhold our funds after decertification. We also need solid, reliable funding for our own merger attorney Jeff Freund.
As Mitch articulated in a recent web post:
This ain't no game folks. We're going to be provided our seat at the table, so we need to make sure that we give this our all. We already have the industry's BEST seniority integration expert on our side - and we need to be able to pay the man and whatever expert witnesses he suggests. Believe you me - APA and USAPA are WELL aware of our self-funding situation and are more than prepared to take full advantage of it.
You can try, but you won't succeed.

I've spoken to Mitch before and of all of you he is the sharpest. However, if he keeps ignoring Silvers ruling he isn't much of a lawyer and may need to rethink his second career move.

The ship has sailed for you. Keep spending your money, all the better. Less to have for retirement.

Jamie, did you look at the list? I find comments such as EF checking in by phone because he can't show his face in the crew room amusing. Try to convince anybody who is on the list the ship has sailed. Much like Bradford in the video deposition it's OK to lie when trying to get elected.

The campaign to get people to stop contributing to Leonidas' legal efforts is falling on deaf ears. Our LLC has kept USAPA in check and DOH off this property. There will not be a DOH list, that ship sailed in the era of MB.

So much for empty campaign promises.

BTW no over here is counting on any of you changing your minds. In fact, we're counting on you spending your money until you retire.

Yes, so much for AOL after USAPA PREVAILED on three legal defenses.

USAPA is 0 for 3 on battles with the company.

Pay snapback, 3% payraise, and Pension Investagation.

Pay snapback, 3 percent and the pension battles were started under the expertise of alpa, the airline pilot association.  That is why alpa's ass was kicked off the property.  The pile of dung alpa left is still being cleaned up.

"ALPA’s Team Approach to Negotiations
The best way to put more pay in your paycheck, get better work rules and
improved quality of life, grow your pension, and get stronger scope language in
your contract is to turn to ALPA—the best pilot negotiating support team ever
assembled. Learn more…

Local pilot leaders chart the course of negotiations and make the decisions, but
those pilots call on teams of ALPA experts and advisors to guide them through
the negotiations process. That team includes:
• 42 professional negotiators in ALPA’s Representation Dept.
• 13 financial analysts in ALPA’s Economic & Financial Analysis Dept.
• 13 attorneys in ALPA’s Legal Department, and others in general counsel’s
law firm,
• 17 benefit specialists in ALPA’s Retirement & Insurance Dept., including 3
benefit attorneys, 2 pension investment advisors, and 1 pension actuary,
and
• 18 communications specialists from ALPA’s Communications Dept.
Let’s face it, negotiating a collective bargaining agreement for pilots under the
Railway Labor Act (RLA) can present some unique challenges. With ALPA, you
and your pilot group can respond to these challenges using a time-tested team
approach to negotiations.

Years of experience, an in-depth understanding of the complexities of the RLA,
and commitment to best practices have molded the ALPA team approach into an
extremely effective process for achieving a pilot group’s contract goals."

Holly Hegeman's Comments: July 8, 2014

Before we get to Laura, last week I had a chance to run a few questions past Neil Roghair, Allied Pilots Association VP, about how things look on the pilot side of the house.

The most burning question that everyone is asking of course is about the seniority question. Is there any chance that there will be a negotiated seniority agreement?

Neil's answer? No.

"There is zero chance of a negotiated seniority list. It is the most complex integration in the history of seniority integrations. But that isn't to say that there might not be a few issues that we negotiate which trim down the issues for the arbitrators to address," he explained.

Holly is an idiot, she sounds like she gets her information form the same place Munn does. The longer the better for AA and US.

I think the battle on the Pension investigation is with the PBGC.

And, FWIW, it's going to be appealed.  (I support the appeal as long as they don't expect a special assessment to fund it.)

High court denies US Airways pilots’ request in pension case
By Terry Maxon tmaxon@dallasnews.com

"In a decision released Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review a case in which US Airways pilots were challenging the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp.’s calculation of their benefits.

The prolonged case stems from US Airways’ termination of its pension plan more than 10 years ago, giving the pilots’ pension responsibility to the PBGC. The pilots were appealing a decision from the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia."

From reading the PIC update you seem to be talking about the Silver Eagles suit.
