1. A. We've already done a neutral process. I
2 don't know why we'd  have to do another one.

3 Q. When you say you've already done a
4 neutral process, you did not do a neutral process
5 with USAPA; is that correct?

6 A. Correct.

7 Q. Okay. So what you're saying is, it's
8 Nicolau or nothing; is that right?

9 A. Yes.

10 Q. And you agree that it should be Nic or
11 nothing?

12 A. Yes.

13 Q. So that no effort by USAPA to reach a
14 mutually satisfactory conclusion would be worthwhile
15 unless it culminated in the Nicolau award; is that
16 right?

17 A. Right.

18Q. So is Nic or nothing any different than
19 my way or the highway? That's your position?..............................??????????

Looks like Braid and the boys get NOTHING. And from the absence of the last holdout Snappy, they got some really bad response from their meeting in Dallas. In spite of all the mixed signals the company has been sending, Hale must have given them the reality. The reality that ALPA was voted off the island, and there was never a JCBA that memorialized the Nicolau.
Braid is just as stupid as Ferguson, Harper, and the rest of them. They never grasped the RLA law part of this from day one. The 9th made it abundantly clear USAPA was not bound by the Nicolau. Again, the West pilots ignored the sound of the train whistle as it bore down on them.
And then you have Munn pretty much wandering around, espousing his flawed opinions as fact. Munn is pretty much the most ignorant opinion of them all. Hard to believe pilots here subscribed to his rambling sat all. Pathetic. Munn is a pathetic and false voice of untruths.

The "9" was a fighter pilots airliner. It flew like a dream and it was the most mechanically sound aircraft if it was kept up maintenance wise.... Which US Airways mechanics did to a "T". It was so clean in the tailcone you could eat off floor. I really miss it.
P.S.  It even had a pilot "vanity" mirror.  Do you know what it was REALLY for???? (stupid trivia here)

So that 'whiskey' kept us flying in a straight line? 🙂

Hey now, you are talking about the person that Traitor admires and worships so much.

The plane was a gas to fly.  IF you could fly.

The guys who hated the 9 were usually the ones like you.  Overmatched.

For some, the autopilot is not just a tool, it's like the lifeline on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire."

You also spent a short time in the left seat of the 73, never to return.  I think I see a pattern.

I would love to go back to the 9, almost 20 years on it what a fun airplane to fly, your right Traitor must be the only one that could not handle it.

"Yes, the East offered the NIC. They just wanted to protect their retirement attrition, which stalled by the change in Age-60. Looking back, that offer must look like a home run to any West pilot right now, but last February the EAST MEC and ALPA couldnt get to first base with it."

ANY WESTIES, WHY DID YOU NOT TAKE THE NIC WHEN WE OFFERED IT TO YOU. STILL WAITING FOR AN ANSWER ?

"The entire base remains critically staffed, and our pairings have degraded to a dangerous level never previously seen. For the June bid period, the company is using the "flex" provision in the AWA contract for the first time in 9 years to build First Officer lines as high as 94 hours over the summer. This comes only one year after the company's decision to unilaterally slash long-standing quantities of summer vacation allocation, resulting in perhaps the worst staffing-driven operational disaster PHX has seen. Additionally, there is no relief to come, as many long-time West check airmen have recently resigned allegedly due to their degrading working conditions in the Training Department (the only department still lead by an East pilot). While conditions continue to deteriorate to unprecedented levels on the PHX island, both the East and the AA sides of the company continue to be flush with record movement and hiring. While the lack of movement may affect some of our pilots more than others, the most concerning bit about this situation is the potential weapon that it creates for use against us by both USAPA and APA in the McCaskill-Bond seniority integration process."

SURE SOUNDS LIKE A FUN SUMMER IN PHX COMING, WHY DID YOU NOT WANT THE NIC?

Ha !
West reps should be recalled for all the damage they caused to their pilots and someone with common sense should be put in. It's over and time to work together to fight the next battle.

West has fled. The news given to Braid was bad. American Airlines could care less about anyone but American Pilots. They have swatted away the little fly called Leonidas. They will next try to swat USAPA. Billy Wilder will have them for lunch.
SNAPTHIS has capitulated.

Yes, Billy will finish this mess, word going around at APA is they are in no hurry to put this thing together along with USAPA we will both enjoy our respective attrition and the company is worried about it, oh well.
