2014 Pilot Discussion

BOD offered to ratify without membership ratification if Parker would agree to keep West trip Rig for all. Parker said "No" because he knows pilots are pussies.

Parker was correct. Pilots stumble over themselves to give concessions while Parker makes over $10B in two years.

BOD cowers as Kirby negotiates directly with membership and then BOD hides behind skirts of membership as everyone is routed.

"Union" fraud. Leading by polling instead of principle. The most egregious DFR failure. Two decades of damage, minimum.

Sadly, "Pilots" (especially after meeting the "spartans") no longer universally strike me as being much of what they used to be. We apparently now live in an age of "Mommy bought me my license, so now I are a pylut! I'll work for food stamps!" "Just gimme the chance to fly a "high performance jet" around at 30 degrees of bank max!"/etc, ad nauseam. One can't honestly blame any pillaging managements for taking full advantage of such spineless/mindless people and utterly pathetic circumstances. Consider just this sad child alone, who apparently finds some grand adventure in a mere altitude chamber session, proudly noting of course that "since the 50's over two thirds of U.S. Fighter Pilots" have essentially sat alongside him there, as if WITH him somehow, which is childish BS. Is there ANYone with silver or gold Wings that didn't do those grandly and apparently gloriously adventurous sessions on a fairly regular basis? Give such as that poor child even a lollipop, call him a "pilot" and even "captain", and he'd bend over for anything management wants, which I believe to be sadly typical of his ilk. I mean seriously: "preparation for our adventure" in merely an altitude chamber?..."our adventure"? Words just fail me sometimes....

Looks like we will be basing our pay raise in 2016 on Delta's raise. Averaged with United.

Kinda like letting your ex-wife's boyfriend decide your alimony payment.....

Brilliant.... Adios 23% raise...... Anybody got that deer in the headlights look yet?

We make the F/A's look like rocket scientist's..... Maybe we can get a Pony for our birthday instead....

We don't need a pony when we already look like a$$e$!!!

I like that analogy.  Except you left out the part where he is screwing her in front of you while he is deciding.

American Airlines’ pilots union accepts company’s last contract offer after marathon meetings, pilots still to vote
Some “non-wage enhancements” made in response to requests from the APA. The airline estimated the total net economic impact of such non-wage items to be an increase in annual pilot costs of about $20 million over five years. “In an arbitrated award, these enhancements would likely go away,” Kirby said in the letter.
The resolution also states that the APA board “agrees to be bound by the membership vote.”

You east guys invented "union fraud". That's why the horrible MOU passed by 98% in phx. To end the fraud. Management played the situation brilliantly. Not only did you get loa93 for an extra 5 years, now you can add on this BS contract and Nic on steroids on top. Well done USAPA cheerleaders...well done.

T-12. :)

Jan 3rd was management's own deadline for the APA to accept the Jerold Glass contract proposal, but Jerold Glass did not have the written contract available for APA's review.... It is still not ready for APA BOD review....

Where Is Wilson? Where is Roghair? Why is the BOD agreeing with Jerold Glass to send us a vote on something they have not even reviewed themselves?

If the APA is going to rip up our constitution and bylaws, can they rip up the part where we pay dues?

I thought ALPA and USAPA were incompetent boobs. I expected better of APA... I saw the American pilots taxi in 2012..

Where the hell are the American pilots?

Nope. You'll pay your dues or get fired. I'm sure the phx reps will police LUS deadbeats closely and will spearhead the appropriate action.

It went over your head. I don't have the time or inclination to spoon feed you.

They continue to abandon our constitution and bylaws at the behest of Glass.

They cannot pass anything to us except an "approved" proposal in final contract language.. They voted to "accept in principle" the management proposal that is not even written yet..

Saying they "accept in principle" but having no principles in the process...

Well I bet all the senior guys are seeing dollar signs and the junior guys see it wont be so good for them, read the details carefully when they come out.
