Why I Voted Yes

Didnt you just say on another thread that you were voting YES because you thought a NO vote was too risky?? What makes you think that the YES vote is safer? As was pointed out you just voted away system protection and allowed the company to layoff till they get to 35% of the maintenance Spend.

It's all a gamble Bob, you just gotta make your best guess & hope for the best, my best guess says that you & the other negotiators keep sending back crap for us to vote on so clearly you can't do better for us, Local 514 has the Majority & I know they can't negotiate there timid & don't have the skills, this is not a slam on you, I know you are doing your best but the company is just to powerful & they have all the cards, I have to do what I think will be my best chance of being able to get out, after this contract overhaul will be mostly gone one way or the other & the line will finally get what they want but I need this last contract to get out If it passes ..... if it fails then I guess I get to roll the dice with the rest of you.

Bob you had your chance to keep that stuff for us we voted No twice, the work rules, Pension, retiree medical are all gone & their not coming back all that's left is pay, vacation & holidays, we are getting the same pay raise as the pilots are getting on their TA that's a miracle right there, I don't think we will get offered more than the pilots did, they might turn theirs down but I think they will accept theirs too in order to keep their pension.
It's a crap sandwich but we are in bankruptcy with no right to strike or do anything but beg, I just want out.
Thanks to the people you sent to negotiations we didnt get a chance, they, like you were willing to give more away, like I said before, their main priorities were the 1/7th rule and labor loans. Not only did they give up on those things but they are throwing in the Pension, retiree Medical, OT Rules, Fielkd trip rules etc, etc all because AA made a threat they cant deliver on because they dont have anyplace to send all the work to yet. You are giving them six years and the language to do it though.

The Pilots are probably going to Vote this down, they are better informed than we are as to the financial state of the company and their position in the industry. they are not at the bottom of the industry and have no plans on allowing AA to use this scam to put them there. They also have a stronger sense of professionalism and dont scare as easily as guys like you. The Flight attendants dont count their vote till the 19th of August. If we reject this and the pilots and Flight attendants accept this the TWU would make you vote on it again before abrogation. After having gone this far why not vote NO and see what the pilots do?

I have never thought anyone but me held my future! I understand you a little better now and wish you the best of Luck as you will need it...

Thanks I think we will all need it, in a Union it is Majority rule, well if the Majority make the wrong choice & it's a choice you wouldn't have made then your screwed right along with them, I hate having my future in the hands of a Majority rule, especially when its people that I don't trust their decisions, this whole three way Union thing is a perfect example were all split & it's pure crap, all the conspiracy talk is ridiculous and the Extremism talk that come from some is downright freaky & weird .... ugh, I'm sick of it all, people are nuts & I need to get the hell away from them & I think this contract will do it for me.

Let me guess why you voted YES
1.Don't mind being BOTTOM FEEDER
2.Don't mind AA AMTs being DEAD LAST in PAY,BENEFITS,and WORK RULES
3.Don't mind ALL OF THE ABOVE !

I'm not a Union Man haven't you been reading my post's ? I can't stand Unions or putting my career in the hands of people I don't trust, that means you & the rest of my coworkers & of course I'm looking out for myself if your a humanitarian then good luck with that, i'm a hermit & can't wait to have a whole lot of alone time when I retire away from people & Unions & hostile Executives that want to crush me every chance they get so they can get rich, you can have ALL that crap.
I'm Parachuting out of this tailspin Industry.
Thanks for the quote. I will use it along with your Teamster cheer leading to show what the future Teamsters appointees are all about. Themselves of course. You are going to make a fine Teamster business agent.

Everybody is losing their Pensions & retiree medical Pilots too, their Board did vote to bring it back & hard recommending a yes vote so if they vote yes & ours fails we are screwed, if they voted No we might have a chance but its a huge risk, i'm just not willing to take it, I can live with what is being offered for the 6 years I have left but I am only one vote Bob, doubtful it will pass or fail by one vote out of 11,000Oh and yes I know our Negotiators suck but I didn't vote for any of them.

They have a loaded gun to your head and a YES vote pulls the trigger!!!

Glad I could help, being anything in a Union is the last thing I would ever want to do, good luck with AMFA you will be stuck with the TWU but I could careless.... not my problem it's yours.

See this is the kind of Extremism Union nutcase crap I have to get away from, All this cult thinking is mind numbing.
You think AMFA is a panacea the holy grail that is going to save you, your delusional no Union is going to save you & Overhauls days are numbered no matter what name is over the door.
Knock yourself out if that's what works for you, Personally I just think it's weird & Culty.

That is your answer to PROOF that the Teamsters and the TWU are in a partnership?

That is your answer?
Really?

What you are trying to escape is the fact that you keep buying into lies and fear and then get called out on it.
No escaping, just admit you were wrong and help us get better together.

As I have said before this BK is like none other among Airline Bankruptcies.. After five work groups told the company NO, miraculously AA came up with more money and I believe the company doesn't have as much faith in the judges decision as they would lead you to believe.. I want to hear the decision and do not fear it one way or the other!
