Meeting on Mids tonight. Information given by the union tonight was if we vote Yes layoffs will go back to 1/1/96 seniority (w/ options of more layoffs) . If we vote No they'll layoff back to 89' seniority and intigrate the term sheets. I'm repeating what was said in the meeting. Fear tactics no doubt. Truth to any of it I have no damn idea.

Those are correct numbers if you do the math. The 1113 term sheet will take over 2000 amt' s at Tulsa which would go back to 89. If the final offer comes true at 900 amt's, then it would only go to 96. This is what is called a carrot.

Someone is not adding the OSM Headcount into the mix either.

When doing a station TULE seniority list for Title 1, you must do more than just Aircraft Mechanics,
There are also other classifications in Title 1.

It's not a bad deal if they include 1500 mechs that take the SIS.

I hear what you're saying Dave, but aren't the a/c cleaners and pw's going to be removed from title 1? So if they are laying off X amount of title 1's it wouldn't include cleaners or pw's. So more OSM's and AMT's will get the cut. Or am I reading too much into this?

Is their anything to read, that's the question? I hear we will be voting on bullet points and not full text of the contract.
 
Sounds just like a repeat of 2003. Take this or you will get "The Delaware plan" or whatever state it was.

The last best offer will be imposed if not approved by the membership, so why vote YES?
The Judge will not cancel the contract, you will not be without a Union, the Judge will not revert back to original term sheet.

The only difference is we get to keep negotiating further and make more potential gains from the curernt position.

This was only done to keep some employees on the payroll, that might otherwise not have been brought back if original term sheet was to be imposed.

Dont sell yourself short by voting YES. Your vote does not matter unless you want negotiations to stop now.
But why not try for more imporvements?

YES vote equals STOP negotiating
NO vote equals try to get more improvement, while imposing this offer in the interim.

I voted no in 03' but was told by AA and the union a yes vote would save my job. "Suprise!!" It passed and it didn't. I have no reason to vote Yes on this new fraudulent POS. If I knew everyone would stick together I'd march outside the gate right now. I don't have any respect for AA, the TWU, the NMB or the RLA after this go around. Wouldn't be suprised if they add onto the union hall after September 28th. They are all crooked
 
Why is it so hard for the TWU to tell us the facts? Why wont they give us a copy of LBO? Why do they insist on the fear factor method to sell a POS contract?
