WRONG!!!
That may be where you live. That is not how it works in Oklahoma. You are REQUIRED to look for work here. If you are offered work and you refuse it you forfeit your unemployment, regardless of if you are in school or not. I have heard people say you can refuse work if it is not comparable in pay to your old job as well. That may be true in some states..... not here. I will assume that is how it works in your state (the school part) and it is not just another LIE you made up.
 
From the states point of view they are assisting you until you are able to find employment, they are not paying you to go to school.
