Did Parker give himself a big raise to 15 million a year? He his now the highset paid airline CEO I think, as we are the lowest paid pilot group. ALL pilots are being advised to start saving their money, paying down debt and maybe taking out a line of credit. The situation will not be good here early next year.!!!

AWE SHUCKS and NIC 4 US:
14,000 to 15,000 posts? Dudes seriously get a life!

I think you're confused... neither has posted anywhere near that... their USAviation "seniority number" when registering is what I think you saw...

Early next year?

That has no meaning. Jan 1, 2010 is the first day of east section 6. No federal med. yet so nothing can happen for one to two years min. Snap backs. filed a grievance. That will not be heard until maybe summer next year.

So unless there is an illegal job action NOTHING is going to happen early next year except a decision from the ninth circuit.

Then maybe some angry east F/O will find other employment because they will not be able to accept the Nicolau list. That is all that will happen early next year.

But please give it a try. Cleary would look good under federal lock down for violation of RLA.

Indeed, kind of like the "no cards" argument, and then the "no appeal, much less an
expedited one!"

Sit back and enjoy the ride Sir...no matter how much you howl nothing will change, either way! The legal gears are turning, quicker than we all really anticipated. What will be...will be.

Usapa is impotent, your track record proves that. Yeah, yeah, I know, you got the cards.

Been filed already and asked for fast-track. Yet you may be correct in that it won't be heard until next summer. However, if the pilots prevail, the pay is effective 1 Jan 2010 no matter when the grievance is settled. So maybe we on the east will get a nice back-pay check next fall.

If the company loses do you expect them to pay?

If usapa loses and there are no pay raises? Will the east live up to this arbitration or will there be illegal job actions?

After all it is an arbitration anything can happen. We all know the east track record on living up to arbitrations. Only the ones you like.

I can see it now. It was ALPA's fault that usapa lost.

Why is usapa asking for less money at the table than the snapbacks?

Why so glum...? ALPA is doing everything in its power to stand by its agreements to abide by any and all arbitrated settlements.

Cheer up. Things will get worse.

I would suggest you become familiar with the expression "Parked" as it refers to the NMB refusing to release parties to self help. It will soon become part of the east's lexicon, as it had the west's.

Obama knows a fledgling recovery depends on even the minor players such as US staying in business and not unecessarily adding to the unemployment numbers.

Employment? That isn't the primary concern, nor should we be worried about it either. We will have healthcare either way. ..Right? ..Aren't we?
