US Pilots Labor Discussion 9/9- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

Delta NWA had three actual arbitrators. Usairways AWA had one arbitrator and John Praters friend for years and fellow Independent Continental Pilots Association Brucia, and United Pilot Gillen while Usairways was in talks with United about a merger, as pilot ""neutrals"".

................

The adults at USAPA are patiently and unemotionally undoing the years of ALPA damage, some ALPA supporters may have to get over this one day.

The three Delta NWA arbitrators came to the same conclusion as the one USAIR AWA arbitrator.

When I asked CLT Rep Bill McKee what the result of the Delta NWA arbitration was he said he did not know.

Is that the answer an adult would give?

9,

Again try to keep up. You are quoting LOA93 and trying to make an arguement about the West not getting any future profit sharing????

West profit sharing is granted via the TA. It was negotiated by West reps for West pilots as part of the TA in exchange for concessions to our contract and our support of the merger, not given to us by the east. LOA 93 has no authority on the West pilot group and/or our participation in profit sharing.

Further, the TA calls for the distribution to be at the discretion of the MECs. So since there is no longer a West MEC, I suppose usapa could take some sort of vote or have the BPR come up with a plan of dispersement that differed from the method that has already been used two times in the past.

All I can say about that is.....I triple dog dare usapa to change that method to exclude the West.

We knew you had it in you to come to grips with the fact that we are one big happy family.

Apples and oranges on the conclusion of the professional arbitrators that handled Delta NWA.

Clt Rep Bill McKee was probably too busy minding his own business.

I'll take that bet any day. Your track record out west is so bad this is like stealing candy from a real crybaby.

We knew you had it in you to come to grips with the fact that we are one big happy family.

I have always considered my new found east coworkers as part of my LCC family. Treat everyone I meet as friendly as possible, leave them space if they need it.

Have you read the letter Parker sent to Cleary, responding to the note Cleary sent Parker as to why he would miss the Labor committee meeting and instead attend the info picket in PHL?

Reminds me of an older brother (Parker) who has the younger brother (Cleary) pinned on the ground and is drooling spit in his face and at the last second sucking it back, waiting for the younger brother to cry uncle.

Yep, "one big happy family".

The problem is we don't want anything to do with your "family". We'll just take the top 2500 slots and you can do whatever you waaant to with the last 1800.

I think he meant to say 'East'. The track record back 'East' doesn't bode well for the AFO's. They know all too well, that if dictator Cleary had a contract with the Nicolau Award to vote on, it would pass. (but he doesnt and Usapa has failed you and I)

Can Usapa put the LOA 93 countdown timer back up? Only this time, set it for Usapa's dismantling by the upset 'members' on both sides. Tick-tock.

Usapa = The final countdown

Welcome to the party. A quick refresher for you;

Your side agreed to Binding Arbitration. Arbitrator Ruled. You didnt get DOH. And you wont get DOH. What dont you get? (DOH  )

The DFR case against your side is coming again. Only this time it will be ripe. Ready for more disappointment?

Cut your losses and move on. USAPA Represents all pilots. And has a duty to do so, fairly.

Usapa = Give me a "D", give me an "F", give me an "R"

ALPA Merger policy

Any pilot who is a merger representative in an announced merger shall be disqualified
from selection as a member of any Merger Arbitration Board. (AMENDED - Executive
Board May 1998)

"Their report also shows:
• Continental and United had held merger talks as far back as 2006.
• Smisek consulted with Continental's lead independent director -- Henry Meyer of KeyCorp -- when reports of the United-US Airways talks first appeared. The next day, Smisek called Tilton to urge United to switch its focus to Continental." Yeah, we get it. You want to steal the West pilots jobs by taking the top 2500 seniority slots. Thanks for your honest post cousin.

Now, exactly what bet would you take? I could not tell if that was in response to my post, or what you were talking about. The West track record on what?

PS. Why is usapa holding up publishing the arbitrators decision in the LOA93 case? Got any ideas? I think it is because there is another loss, in the very long list of losses, being added to the usapa resume.

I seem to remember that we had a vote to agree to share it with the AWA pilots, at a time when we still believed that they were not our enemies and ALPA was still on the property. I actually remember voting in favor at the time, because I honestly believed (stupid of me, I know) that it was the right thing to do, and would lead to better relations with the AWA pilots.

Unless you were an MEC member at the time, you didn't get to vote at all on this profit sharing with the west deal. It never went to membership ratification.

The MEC voted, and the count was an even split. Pollock got to break the tie, and he gave the west a portion of the profit sharing because he thought of it as an olive branch (so I am told.) Thank him next time you see him.
